PBS used to show it and Eastenders, years ago. Neither of them caught on, except with ex-pats. I saw a couple of episodes of each a couple of years ago while back there on vacation. They were both crap -- nothing like the way I remember them. Shame.
As some others have also missed the original point, my question about 'donkey stoning' was precisely that: a question. It was very commonplace in many parts of 'Ull when I were a lad (vernacular). However, I haven't lived there since I left in 1964 for Uni.

Yes, it certainly is. As discussed in another recent thread, Raich Carter had a newsagent/sweet shop on the corner of Perry Street and Anlaby Rerd.

I agree with the order, maybe Court's above Dane's but the Thorpe's are nearer Ghost Estate.
I had good friends from all 4 of em.

Good. Maybe some others would like to publish a brief synopsis of their entire life, on here. Then we will all understand each other better, and life would be all hugs and kisses.

Yep you're right had a look on a map. Always had a picture in my head that from left to right it was courts, danes, thorps then shaws. But the way hall road loops around make it a bit different.

I'm beginning to suspect there's only three of us on here actually come from Hull.

    How weird is that?

Victoria Ave is (was?) at the far end of Perry Street, adjacent to the railway line. It may well have been demolished by now. Remember, we're talking waaay back in time, when I were a lad.

I moved away 20 years ago, but manage to spend about 5 or 6 weeks in Hull each year.
