Sorry, am still in in Italy and a bit chilled out...Can't get too excited about the goings on at HP but it just seems that DA has been able to get most of his targets (with more to come). can't honestly say that I am honestly fussed about those leaving. Bottom line is that very few clubs in the lower leagues actually 'buy' anyone anymore. It remains to be sen if any of DA's acquisitions will be any good but I don't think the budget is a problem.

First point is we don't know how far down whatever list he drew up these targets he got were. He isn't going to say if they were first choice or not is he. Second point is he had no choice but to sign lots of players considering we only had the beginnings of a 5-a-side team to start with. Third point is he has probably offloaded some higher wage types like Reid so his available cash was always going to be marginally better. Fourth point is as usual we have no idea what the budget is or isn't but I would add that it has to be greater than last season. We had higher crowds and went to Wembley so must have made a few quid extra unbudgetted. Also sell on for Mason. If it isn't higher then there have to be questions in the house.

I'm not that fussed about those leaving either to be honest. They tried and failed last time so nothing wrong with a new bunch to try again. Reid unfit mostly, Hartley a bit slow, Mellor accident prone, Nelson would have liked him to stay out of all of them and McHugh left under a cloud he blotted what was a reasonable copy book. Wylde too unpredictable and not a match winner often enough. Mostly the rest were loanees anyway.

It is plym in my house anyway. It's normally dead quiet except for the occasional snore.

I read a bit on pasoti that Young Tyler Harvey is currently being trialed at Newcastle and played in an U21 game yesterday and scored. Won't that be a poke in the eye for Argyle if he gets signed on. He was offered allegedly a piss poor contract to sign on here which apparently is why he decided to try his luck elsewhere. If he signs for them is that a case of being more or less forced out the door then compo for an U24 would not apply?

Also loud talk of Reid and Shrewsbury.

Does he occasionally wear high heels then? They play havock with your arches.....erm.......or so I'm told.

    I think next seasons formation is going to be 8 - 1 - 1.

Reid failed to sign the offered contract so has gone. Lots of rumours but as yet we know not where.

Are you sure you don't mean he can jump like Ronalta?

Like it or not I very much get the impression that DA has offered the 'old guard' fairly poor terms and has bought his own players in on decent wages. There is no doubt that the success (or not) of this season will lie firmly at his door.

What wages are they on then lyndhurst? I always consider success or not is the Management's baby if fault needs to be placed. That though includes Manager and Board. I look at the Board for failing to strengthen the side in January and Adams for failing to enthuse the troops at Wembley. We threw away two means of promotion last term not one.

Read on BBC Sports that you have signed him. He can be excellent at times, but can also make costly mistakes in a game. Big lad - about 6'5", but very arrogant character, who believes he is better than he actually is. We let him go for these reasons. Good luck with him, hope he does the business for you <ok>

Thanks Wooperts. I think our manager is building a wall at the back this season. He's looking for some value so is buying them by the yard.<ok>

How can someone who might be 6ft 5in tall be mistaken for only being 6ft tall by most websites ?
