My original question was whether Boris Johnson may be regretting not sticking with Cameron as it seems clear today, that had he done so, he may well have achieved his ambition of being next PM whichever way the referendum went. Owen Paterson has just said Andrea Leadsom would have won with the support of the Party membership, but withdrew due to the abuse she was receiving from within. But apparently, according to Mystic Pete, people only withdraw because they don't have enough support

You've latched on to one topic, and are struggling to prove your point on that. Even your claim on the number of deaths is not really supported by the document you've linked. It says it's not possible to claim it's down to the EU, as the rate was falling as a consequence of the UK legislation before that anyway.
