Too many people turned up, more than the 80,000 there were spaces. The CRS were there for securitybreasons and reacted in their normal manner, firing teargas and using water cannon. Usual escalation from there, cars set on fire etc. A spokesman apparently said that as too many people were trying to get in they had to fire teargas to turn them back. As you do. We are often critical of our police but they generally handle these situations better.

I was watching closely, but I didn't detect any. Probably need a more hi-def telly.

Are you sitting alone in the corner of a pub, tapping away on your iPad?

These words are a case of déjà vu, all over again. Need a fresh battery in your ProJourno electric lexicon?

No, I'm at my house, on my laptop.

Why, was you hoping someone else was doing the same as you?

    Goodnight.

Would have been 3 with me but internet was down due to problems changing to new National Broadband Network. Prediction would have been wrong though. 0-0 at full time, 1-1 after extra time with Portugal to win on penalties!
My favourite International player of all time is Eusebio.

Wow! What a player The Black Pearl was! His single-handed destruction of NORTH Korea before narrowly losing to Ingerlund in THE 1966 WC was nothing short of unbelievable. Seemed like a very nice man, too.
I think Bobby Charlton was also a great admirer -- and it doesn't come much higher than that!
Personally, I would rank Eusebio above Pele and Cruyff in the all-time-great stakes.

Saw him score 2 goals in their win against Brazil at Goodison Park the match before N.Korea. Missed the NK match and the England v Portugal semi as I was preparing to leave England and was actually on a boat when the WC final was played.
Toward the end of my subsequent 2 year stay in South Africa I visited the place where he was born in Mozambique.

See someone has never heard of writing in the vernacular.

Nice try old man, but you're **** at this game.

I didn't support Portugal, but on the balance of play I think you just about deserved.

Cracking finish for Eder, your win largely minus Ronaldo was almost poetic that they won without their talisman - but he got to lift the trophy at the end.

Well, he's **** at this grammar game then, as I've always written in the vernacular on here.

This thread has enough bullshit on it now, so I'm not posting anything other than football on it.

At least the back pages weren't all about Ronaldo. In fact, there's pretty much nowt on the Euro final.

Thank God for Andy Murray and Lewis Hamilton for once.

So we was is a characteristic of speech unique to this region? Can't say I have noticed. Haven't noticed you writing rerd, cowld, or narn or farve which would be writing in the vernacular for this area, Unless you were writing in Huddersfield vernacular.
