http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/swansea-city-linked-15m-barcelona-11593229 Swansea City linked with £15m Barcelona winger Cristian Tello and Italy's Euro 2016 hit-man Graziano Pelle - reports I would be delighted with these two!! I doubt it will happen though
Our " Best " point total season we had 4 players who scored 7 or more goals . Every other season , except last season in which we had 2 , we had one player with 7 or more goals .. In that " Best " season , Ki was one goal from top scorer.
yes but what you have net said is Bony was here for half a season and got 9 in 16 , then gomis in the second half gave us 7 in 18, both strikers 16 goals in 34 appearances, that is why we need a striker.
Bony got 16 goals his full season with us , our worst total point season . That is why we need multi scorers.
I would like to see us spend £20--£30 million. If that meant selling Gomis and one or two others to go towards the funds so be it. Gomis, Palo and Eder leaving/about to leave has left us with no strikers. This in itself is very worrying. I'd also like to see the £12 million we got for Jonjo be reinvested fully into the squad. I look at the 2 players we've just spent 6-7 million on, and they do not improve the starting 11. Our focus should be the starting 11 this summer.
I hope so, because we're a player short in midfield now that Grimes has gone, Leon and Rangel will now be a year older, and we have no out and out strikers Hopefully a new Gylfi deal will be announced ASAP.
Selling Gomis? Mate we can't give him away lol but we've spent about £5m already, your bottom of the range ties in with what I've said already, we'll spend about £20m. The money for jonjo has gone already on players we brought in their wages and other things like the training grounds.
I thought Bonys transfer went on the facilities? What I hope we don't do this summer though is give free transfers huge signing on fees.
I dunno Grimes was loaned in January and wasn't missed. I think CM isn't top priority but at least 2 strikers is ST; Gomis LW; Routlage, Montero, Gorre RW; Ayew, Barrow, Dyer CAM; Sigurdsson CM; Cork, Ki, Fer, Britton, Fulton LB; Taylor, Kingsley, Tabanwho CB; Ash, Fernández, Amat, Hoorn RB; Rangel, Naughton GK; Fabianski, Nordfelt Two positions look thin Striker and Attacking midfielder Ayew can cover as a attacking midfielder and striker but the latter isn't ideal IMO. We need IMO ST>RB>CAM>RW/LW>CM>CB>GK
But a category 1 Academy status costs money, at least £2m a year, plus we still have those players who came in we sold shelvey, the £5m or so we have just spent, plus the general running costs of the club and so on. That money has gone now imo
Ayew is no longer a winger with us , he's a striker . It's what he was since Gomis was benched , and it's what he will be if he stays . Keep in mind were hot on the heels of Kanu , regardless of what or what he doesn't cost . Ayew , , Kanu and Fer could very well be our strike force . And Fer won't be playing out of position , he's played CM , DM, RB and striker regularity
£2 million to run the academy is chicken feed compared to the income we are receiving and if we sell on players that it produces and are surplus to our needs it'll pay for itself. On that subject Fulton has extended his contract by another 2 years (Swans website).
