its just whats been stated in the local press and from people on twitter. but not people on twitter in a cwarr sense, reporters that asked him for a comment were told from the horses mouth that if he said what he actually thought it'd cause a riot.

If this is true about him having a strop just because he didn't get set piece duties then i've lost all respect for Barton. It seems as though he is the cause of a lot of unrest at the club now (as others have said) and i'll happily be shot of him now!

Sorry, what is being reported is that Barton had a huge argument with the world and his dog.

The "horses mouth" information is that Barton was asked for comment and decliend to because if he spoke his mind it would cause a riot.

What I'm looking for is a credible, or identified, source of the arguments in the dressing room stories

Seems from what anonymous club sources say, or speculation from people who don't know (like you and me) or from any actual person worth beleiving?

one report said he had a argument with a coach as well but who knows.was going to mention the fact that maybe when pardew took over that barton/nolan/jose/smith might have had too much power in the dressing room who knows it's all ifs and buts

Joey: "Made to train alone today, how predictable........."

Also looks like he's going into martyr mode, "In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act. George Orwell".

Nah the unrest is not just Barton, its widespread and is purely adn simply down to the way the club treat te players and do business. I honestly think that if they just came clean and said "look we need to reduce the wage bill and cut costs, and therefore these sales are necessary", they'd be much better off. Just front up and tell it like it is. If they did you'd get a natural round of disappointment from fans and players alike. But I think eventually we'd get on with it and so would the players. Their way just breeds discontent and ****s with team spirit, player and fan morale, and widens the divide between fans themselves, and the board. Its too easy to say "he is being greedy". These players deserve more respect and should be treated in a more professional manner. Otherwise they'll just get unsettled and start causing trouble. I'd say this board need to wake up and learn but maybe if they are preparing for sale, they'll just go about it in the most brutal way possible.

Come on you guys the Journal licks fat mikes arse. Barton may be a pain but he is passionate about his football I would take the spin you read in the Journal with a huge dollop of disbelief..You will probably find fat mike puts lots of adverts in the paper and wines and dines the journos and they do as he says

Am I actually starting to hate Barton again like I used to before he signed for us?

Although Barton has been a complete prick in the last few weeks, I think his leaving could be quite detremental. What he did against Leeds was obviously just him spitting the dummy out, but I don't think we have many other players who will give their team mates a bollockong on and off the pitch when things aren't right. Who else is gonna do it? Collo? Saylor? Ameobi?!?!?

But footballing wise I don't think he'll be too badly missed. Although we've never seen him in the PL, Cabaye looks quality and is just as good as, if not better, than Barton at passing. Also he gets stuck in and reads the game brilliantly - made two goal saving interventions against Leeds when our defence went walkabout.

We don't know what's going on, and we probably never will.
You have to take the claims against him from the board with a mountain of salt, because we know for a fact that they've lied on multiple occasions.
We also know that Barton has his problems, and is also very intelligent, so he may well be engineering all of this.

Don't judge either side too harshly for now - There's more to come on this, and hopefully we'll know the truth in the end.
