I haven't got a clue what he was thinking. Possibly this is a **** fat burner that won't do much let me eats loads...

Whatever he was thinking was clearly off the wall. But the substance is no longer banned so it can't have been anything worth while taking.

Like I said it's a major **** up. I'm just happy he'll be lining up next season.

I wouldn't argue with him. I'd go into a 50:50 ball with him but I would argue ;)

Well it's clearly wrongly on the list - hence it not being on there now <laugh>

Correct. But it was (wrongly) on the list so should Sakho have taken it?

    No.

    But he was rightly acquitted.

It's like someone at UEFA writing "hippy crack and fanta" on the banned list and then Sterling missing out on the Euros

Why the **** didn't we think of this before

Without doubt it's a big **** up but I think the authorities actually did the right thing (for once) when dealing with the situation (even though it ****ed us over too but that's Sakho's fault)

You do know Sakho wasn't banned from the EURO's don't you?
His country just think he was worth taking since they already had 4 better CHs :emoticon-0100-smile

Basically if you take something your mum gives you or whatever for the best over what your pro medics would advise you take then you're a ****ing idiot regardless of what the UEFA regulations are, you make sure your back is covered otherwise it opens up the door for **** like this to happen, if he hadn't taken it there would have been no issue to debate at all

I didn't say he was banned

He missed out due to the uncertainty and lack of match fitness

Real countries don't employ Hodgson who will take someone who boards the plane on his first fit day in 2 years

I think the issue is that the 'banned substance' isn't on the WADA list which is the world wide independent drugs testing body.

He consulted with experts outside of football during his pre season training who were cross checking against the WADA list and not the UEFA list.

Even so, he or the experts he consulted should be more up to speed.

It's a messy set of circumstances but I can't help feel sorry for him for missing two major sporting occasions.

I agree it's a total mess and do feel sorry for him a little if he was given bad advice, to be honest though the only advice he should seek is from the club.

The drugs available that are being synthesised change so quickly that yeah they should be on top of their lists more readily. They should know about this given the doping scandals in various sports pretty recently and how fast advancements happen nowadays

This statement is a total joke.....

"The proceedings against Mr Sakho related to a violation of the UEFA Anti-Doping Regulations after the player failed a doping test at the above-mentioned match. Following a hearing with the lawyers of the player and experts of the WADA-accredited laboratories on this case, the CEDB has decided to dismiss the case."

No explanation of why he was banned in the first place or anything. I would have thought they might have had the balls to admit that someone ****ed up by putting it on the UEFA list when it wasn't on WADA.

Sakho should sue the **** out of them for saying he "failed a doping test"

They should have stuck with "Sakho's sample tested positive for a substance on our list of banned substances"

Can't sue somebody for telling the truth, he did fail a doping test.
What they should/need to do is explain why they have now dropped the case.
