Watched this concert a few times, some of my mates went to the Stax Tour from which i believe this is taken, I think Manchester was the closest venue to the NE, real pain, my other regret from this era, was missing Jackie Wilson when he played at the Fiesta down your way.

 

I was a bouncer at The Porterhouse in Retford and had a night off when Ian Dury & The Blockheads were on.

Yep, it's from the Stax Tour Norway leg. I've got it on dvd remastered. Booker T and the MGs, Mar-Keys, Sam and Dave, Arthur Conley, Eddie Floyd and Ottis Reading. Amazing line up.
