Well I would agree that we need to replace Pelle with the uncertainty over JayRod and Austin. I sincerely hope we are willing to spend, as I'm uncertain of how long we can maintain a balancing act. I'm willing to be patient for now, as the club have earned my trust.

 

But its a forum, for speculating! Whether you think things are dandy or (there's no middle ground anymore) in crisis, its worth expressing an opinion, surely?

People seem to get very confused on here with people disagreeing with an opinion, mixing that up with someone saying "you can't have that opinion".

The former is fine (and is what happens) the latter is not.

So Austin, JAy and Seager have three working knees between them, that's plenty.

 

For me, this summer is easy. I think we are too strong to get into trouble, a mid table finish with a fairly good cup run sounds about right. Next summer is going to be far worse, already counting down the days till that big offer hits the table with Virgils name on it. And seeing whats happened so far, it will be hard to stop him leaving.

 

I won't shout anyone down. Bed wetting is another opinion.

It's always the same thing, and it's always from those proffering a negative opinion. Goes like this -

Person A - "negative opinion"

Person B - "that's a bit negative"

Person A - "WHY AREN'T I ALLOWED AN OPINION - YOU ALWAYS TRY AND STOP ME HAVING AN OPINION - IT'S A FORUM AND YOU'RE ALL NASTY BULLIES".

Person B - "eh?"

 

As Spaced Saint said, there are a few people who used the term 'bedwetting' out of turn and offer nothing else, and Beefy who just talks down to anyone who dare question the club. The window has been open for about a month and we've got Redmond to show for it, and 3 youth players signed - the priorities seem focused on youth development.

 

Oh I like this post. Sounds like there is going to be some money to spend.....

.... or I could just pretend that wasn't written in on of those Echo articles today and just think that's it, we're not spending even though it is only the 8th July, our old manager ****ed some of our plans and the new one has been in only a week.

I've decided. We have nearly two months until the window closes, so I will be patient and see what the club do. If I am not happy, I can have a good old moan on September 2nd.

Hey, I do hear what people are saying and I understand why there are concerns. I personally am not worried yet as I'm pretty sure there'll be signings, and good ones to come. That's just my opinion, but I appreciate and understand those that may be feeling more negatively disposed.

I just don't get why disagreement is seen as "shutting it down" or somehow unfair. It's discussion that makes the forum tick over.

 

'Decent' isn't an inspiring choice of word to be fair, considering we've already sold £40m worth of talent. I would much rather they used something along the lines of 'substantial'.

As I've said multiple times already, from the rumours of the Boufal bid it does look like we're going to break our transfer record, but realistically we need to do it 2 or 3 times this window to improve the team.

 

Why wait when you can have a good moan now? Don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today

 

I talk down to people now? I was simply saying my opinion. The club have done no wrong since Kat has taken over from her dad (RIP Markus). But every summer we have the same thing of questioning the board. This has been like the 3rd season in a row, but yet we have improved every season. Yet still the club are questioned or moaned at before we see what they do. I feel the club deserves a bit of space before jumping on them and moaning because of this.

 

It would be nice though to get the players in for a bit of preseason to help us get a good start and build confidence for Europe.

 

Think £13m for Pelle is a great deal really. Most of us would of taken 5+ just two months ago! I would be very disappointed if we didn't replace him though and have said as such for a long time. Though when I mentioned this recently I was told to 'stop hoarding players'

Don't know why everyones moaning about not signing anyone else yet. We've got plenty of time and at least we're not kicking our season off in a couple of weeks this year
