If we send him on loan, cant see anyone paying most of his wages, due to the ridiculous money we have paid him. I just hope and I don't care at what cost this happens and he is as far away from our squad as possible.
The big worry for me is that we don't even seem to be linked with any strikers lately, but then again nobody seems to be linked to bony either...wish full thinking?
Guidolin got us a point and a half per game for the last 16 games . Ayew finally clicked as a striker the last few games of the season and scored 4 goals . Guidolin was happy with the team inherited IMO and he has the players he had , barring Paloschi who's 2 goals in 7 starts was average , but Guidolin must want Ayew as the main striker now . More new players would be great , if we don't lose any present ones including Gomis , I'm good and have lots of money for a more organized January window.
What you are saying no signings now and wait till we are in the **** in January to it it right. We will 100% sign a striker. As for your point and a half a game well it counts for **** all come the start of next season, lets not forget that Monk got our highest total and positional finish and then did **** all the next season. So whatever Guidolin did last year means nothing come August. And Roof, you slagged Ayew right off when he was up front last season saying that he is now where near being a striker and we should sell him, but I suppose that was before the striker you said would be our saviour next season was sold. So now all of a sudden he is good enough to be our No.1 striker.
To me Paloschi is well above average , on many levels in the big picture . Merely stating that Paloschi's short stint with us was average and all the players Guidolin had then , he has now . Point and a half a game for his 16 games in charge ...would be 57 points for a season . The last few games of the season were his best games , and were Ayew's best games as striker too .....if it ain't broke sorta thing .
I hate changing players positioning ..BUT ..I'm not in charge , if Ayew doesn't leave he will be a striker . The team will be led by Ayew , I accept that and after the few final games I'm embracing the possibility of a new found " Striker " in Ayew . It makes sense, when Eder , Paloschi and seemingly , Gomis are cut loose , its suddenly " Practical " it's one of my favorite words . I've never said a bad word about Ayew . The only three things I've ever said is ....he didn't fit us as a winger ....he wasn't a striker and I hate making players change positions .... We could make some good money off Ayew while not having to worry where to play him . Great work ethic too . Super footballer ,
Robin Van Persie offered himself to West Ham for less than half his wage . Imagine making 100,000 £ week ..........that's after his drop in wage .
I don't understand Huw sometimes........We should never agree to pay 70% of Gomis wages however rubbish he have been, If we are going down that road then the minimum should be 60 - 40 in our favour at least.....Huw needs to get the cheque book out and buy two quality strikers because AYEW as a false striker is not good enough for a premiership side. Use him in an emergency yes but not as the main striker who wont get us enough goals over a season.....It's pathetic that the team has left for the states without any proper strikers at all when you see our rivals snapping up good strikers early in the transfer window.......Where is Guildo's input in all this ? not a peep out of him on anything it's all Huw...
4 million in wages for Robin Van Persie for a season would be money well spent . We can buy him and pay his 1st seasons wages for less than we payed for Eder and Tabanou . A goal every 2nd game his whole career including where he is now . His family is so desperate to get out of Turkey , he'd agree to anything . Not sure how he got there but 240 million in wages a week , I'll guess he went on the free .
Have you not learned yet? It's not going to happen ever! It's a good job you are not actually running the club or we'd be bankrupt and paying wages that we can't afford. I tell you that a £30m player would also want wages of about £5m+ a year, so that means it will cost about £50m or so over 3 years. And other players will want pay rises that will increase the wage bill. For an alleged businessman you don't appear to know how businesses actually run, you are blinkered on this and seem to be incapable of seeing the bigger picture.
Same old Dai, you can have an opinion but anyone who doesn't agree with you is a muppet! Your opinion is awfully flawed in so many ways, and it's the same every time we come to a transfer window, you want to spend tens of millions on players. The problem of course is that the club doesn't have the resources to spend money on complete gambles, a £20m player doesn't automatically equal success, otherwise every team would do that and there would be no abject failures in the premier league. You are not being realistic, and for a man who used to say you a realist and deal in facts, I'm afraid I don't see either above.
Don't want him at the club, the reason is the wage demand and the cost of either buying him or his signing on fee. I reckon it will be close onto £10m just for one season. He's 33 now come August, and there is no way we can recoup money by selling him on, the club would be his last chance at a huge wage and we would be facing increased wage demands of others.
Why did you not say you don't agree with me instead of the bullshit, That then is your opinion and a fair comment....you don't need to be so aggressive...
How can you say this? It would be one hell of a gamble on a past it, now injury prone, dare I say it, 2 season wonder. I'd rather give Bony £4 million a year.
