    I have to say watching the Euros, we often criticise the referees in the EPL, but both Clattenburg and Atkinson have stood out as 2 of the best referees on show.

    English refs - best in the World.

    Which says a lot about the quality of other leagues' reffing.

    Clatt is always good value, but does have a rush of blood to the head every now and again..Just less then some other refs..

    BTW...A question...Is that a Irish or a transplant on his nut?

    It was.

    Each country selected an official to go to the Euros. Ours selected Martin Atkinson. However, UEFA wanted Mark Clattenberg. Ours insisted that Martin Atkinson was their best official (as Clattenberg doesn't exactly get on with his bosses) so UEFA told them to send both then. UEFA had every intention of giving Clattenberg the final, as long as England didn't have part in it, as they feel he's the best official in Europe.

    UEFA like our officials. It wasn't long ago Howard Webb did the major final and it won't be long before Michael Oliver does it.
