    That sounds alright. Mrs Q's patient has to go to hospital next week to have it removed.

    Dentists = evil.

    Michael McIntyre does a funny routine about the same thing happening to him...bet it wasn't a laugh at the time.

    The thing is, how do you question a dentist? I negotiated a better price last time out on some treatment, yet the look in his eye made me realise that you can't question the work of a man who is going to be putting drills and tools into your mouth!

    Is this a new attack, DTLW.? And in Baghdad, for pete's sake. That's just to draw attention, I presume.

    OK. I felt it was important to clarify that. Not that it makes anything better.

    Yes, Dave's response, having been away and missed that news, sort of lead to it being a new one.

    Yes, the one from a couple of days ago. Still finding bodies and confirming deaths.

    This is where I want to hit the Like button, just to acknowledge that I've read your post. But who can like that kind of news.? Sometimes I do wish the Like button was called something different. E.g. Noted.

    Anyway, awful news.

    I don't know if you remember, but I have a friend out there (he's actually in Baghdad at the moment) who we code named 'Captain Moustache" or something - spoke to him this evening. He says that despite the widely reported losses of IS currently, it makes very little odds - they'll be far more difficult to dislodge from Mosul and their Syrian enclaves, and even if they do lose ground there, they'll just absorb themselves in the civilian population and take on even greater guerilla tactics.

    I was camping in the Serengeti in Tanzania last year. Our guide told us stories about close encounters round the campfire at night, and what to do if you need the toilet in the middle of the night (I just didn't drink much in the evening and took an empty bottle into the tent with me <laugh>). It was also important to set our tents up with big spaces between us and not near any trees in case a heard of elephants trumped through. On the first night, as we were setting up our tents in the twilight, a Leopard stalked towards us, probably no more than 60metres away. The next night there were hyenas wandering about. Surprisingly, I slept really well!
