Whether he takes the job or not the uncertainty at present may hurt us!

It was only a matter of time, at least we now know he has talked to them.
Hope saggy chops or any other ****er gets it though.

This worried me until I saw the bit about Redknapp. Clearly horseshit. Not to say it won't happen but this is horeseshit.

The club don't have to do jack ****, imo.

Because some fans are getting ahead of themselves with anxiety about something that may or may not happen? Everything at the club seems to be running smoothly with new contracts being handed out etc. If Sam gets the England managers job, I'm sure they will release a statement then.

Exactly - the current squad have stated that they want a foreign manager.
Player power will win - the FA haven't got a bloody clue man <doh>

I appreciate what you're saying mate, but if Sam has a clause in his contract which enables him to take an International post etc and that protocol suggests that nothing needs to be reported until a deal is done, which may take weeks, then a drawn-out interview procedure could potentially leave is in limbo.

Yes, I fully understand the reasons why all parties would keep their powder dry, if indeed this irumour is true, however, the Club will know what unrest these rumours are causing amongst some supporters and possible new targets.

Other than this rumour, everything seems to be going along nicely, I just think that a simple comment from inside the Club is conspicuous by it's absence.

Maybe I need to just calm the **** down.........I hope that this is a load of horseshit !!

The Football Association are seeking talks with Arsene Wenger to establish whether he is interested in managing England.
As revealed by Telegraph Sport on Monday, FA technical director Dan Ashworth is arranging talks with candidates to succeed Roy Hodgson and Wenger is top of the list of managers the governing body want to speak to.

Wenger has yet to publicly rule out the prospect of managing England once his current Arsenal contract runs out in 12 months time and the FA now want to find out whether or not there is a genuine chance of tempting him away from the Emirates at the end of next season.

There you go - foreign manager used to working with premier league prima-donnas, just need an interim manger now - come on Gareth Southgate!

And if these interim talks are true, maybe it could be that the FA are inviting talks with managers working within the English FA, who may have a duty to attend to show their interest or even to rule themselves out !

I assume if he has talked to the FA it was done with the permission of SAFC as he is under contract with us.

Let's be honest - we'd all rather Harry was England manager.

Well... Anyone who supports Sunderland would anyhow!!

If he does go who would people want to see replacement.

The two obvious names are Moyes and Martinez. Do they tickle the fancy?

What exactly do you expect the club to say?

    Hmm,

Does anyone else feel Wenger is perfect? He's lost the Arsenal fans but is unquestionably a great manager who knows the players, knows the English failings.

I'm thinking it would be great for England and suit Arsenal.

I think that's overstated - according to a number that were at the "protest" game, he's lost less than 10% of their fans looking at their "Protests" but the rest are fully behind him.

As in most clubs though. The unhappy 10% are much louder than the happy 90%
