It shows how ****ing bad things are when we're somehow hoping the old man has some say over the sale of the club and doesn't completely leave it to his tosspot son. Jesus we're ****ed.
Thats not as I understand it. It's likely they already have an acceptable bid from at least 1 party and the other/s are messing around with lower bids. Setting a deadline of Monday will make the other interested parties put in their final bid and the Allams can decide which one to go for. Im just guessing obviously but it doesnt mean that the club wont be sold if no one else bids before Monday as there's already bids on the table.
Can someone on a pic/Mac copy and paste the article please. If I go on the hdm website it redirects me to ads and doesn't let me read anything.
Hull City owners impose Monday deadline for takeover bids By Hull Daily Mail | Posted: July 07, 2016 By Philip Buckingham Comments (4) HULL City have told all parties interested in a takeover of the club to submit their final bids by Monday as a summer of negotiations nears a potential conclusion. Almost six weeks after promotion back to the Premier League was secured in the Championship play-off final, question marks continue to hang over the long-term future of owners Assem and Ehab Allam. A US-based consortium, led by former Goldman Sachs managing director Peter Grieve, was considered the front-runner for a takeover earlier in the summer but subsequent interest from China and Thailand has muddied the waters. Talks with a number of investment groups have been held over the past month and City have now set a deadline of Monday for all parties to firm up their interest with a final offer. It remains to be seen if any bids will be able to meet the asking price, thought to be in the region of £100m, but should none materialise it will be the current regime that continues planning for a new season with manager Steve Bruce. Confidentiality clauses ensure details are limited but a group led by Grieve remains around the negotiation table. The US businessman and his associates were at Wembley to witness the Tigers' 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on May 28 and there had been high hopes of completing a deal soon after. An agreement was understood to be close only for interest from around the globe to leave the Allam family weighing up their options. by Taboola Sponsored Links YOU MAY LIKE 7 Tips for DiabeticsHealthline.com 3 Rotten Shares to Sell, and 1 to Buy TodayThe Motley Fool Australia What 'I Dream Of Jeannie' Looks Like Now Is IncredibleEdgeTrends The Mail understands that Grieve has provided proof of funds, a document proving his ability to push ahead with a takeover, but it is unclear if any other potential buyer has done the same. I'm amazed the Americans haven't walked away, they've been jerked around since the minute we got promoted. I hope they end up with the successful bid, they agreed to buy us before Wembley and have been trying to get a deal over the line ever since.
Hmm American owners. Not exactly won many friends at other Premier League clubs. Go Hull Tigers! Hull Amber Sox for the British Soccer Superbowl!
Im quite certain that after we've been sold, someone will pop up and claim one of the other bidders would have been better, but the Allams etc etc Way the £ to the $ is at the mo, you'd think we're getting cheaper for the Yanks.
The Chinese trade in US$'s as well, they get as much benefit as the Yanks. As for people claiming they would have been better, I'm yet to find anyone who actually knows who they are.
I'm sure there isn't anyone - it's just a way of wanting the Yanks to believe they're not the only show in town and trying to get a sole bidder to up their bid
They definitely exist, they've met with Ehab in London and then came to view the ground and training facilities, I just can't find anyone who knows who they are.
