Off Topic Thrilla in Manila..

Getting my first holiday in 7 years or more in August for a couple of weeks, visiting an old friend in Manila, was supposed to be Davao City where my friend is from but the foreign office advised against..

So for you traveller lads, any pointers, things to see, things to avoid??


Seriously, any advice welcome..

You mentioned Singapore the other day. Sounds like a good idea.

You've got to much to risk!

 

I will be ok, know the culture well just don't know Manila to well..

 

I have never been further than Turkey and Cyprus so the only advice I can give is have a bloody great time..

 

All done now for Manila, safe haven, preferred Singapore but Manila will do. Anywhere but Mindanao, gutted about that like but better to be safe than sorry. They would never kidnap me like, would need to be shot on the spot and I'd take 3 or 4 of them ****s with me.. Sad for a country with so much poverty in the Southern Islands..

 

Just as long as you have a plan based on personal safety and common sense mate!

Manila is 100% safe, a few street robbers maybe but believe me, I will empty their pockets.......and I ain't joking..

 

Oh, so NOW I have to worry about you getting arrested for pick pocketing!

Keep your nose clean and keep some bribe money on you just in case you get your nose dirty.

 

I reckon he'll get 3 years and do 18 months

 

But locked up 10 years while he awaits trial.

Well I thought there might have been a few Daniel Boone's amongst you lot, travellers with a tale to tell or scar to show! Seriously so looking forward, great Country if you know the ropes and beautiful people. The south islands are a bit no go at the moment which I was booked to go to, hence Blunham's second orgasm of the night.. Tut tut find your own thrills Sandy and for me..bring on Manila...
