    Try telling Peter that <laugh>

To be fair, this thread has covered a lot of ground, including trade, constitutional law, UK / EU law, immigration, health care, free movement etc.

This thread has turned to complete ****.

I voted to remain because of my serious concerns over the problems that would ensue for the economy. Those concerns are starting to be made very real, unfortunately.

For the sake of my family, and all of those in the UK, I hope that those in power can eventually steer their way out of this god awful mess the country has voted itself into!.

As thief is a thief no matter where they are from.
I like the vast majority of people see something wrong in EVERY criminal **** that tries to harm and destroy other people's lives.
You bitch about those like you who voted out being tarred by racism when people raise the issue of the rise in racist incidents since the vote (even though no one has said those voting out are responsible) and then come out with a **** statement like that.
FFS why are you angry about Romania criminals? Are they taking money from British ones?
A criminal is a ****ing criminal so complain about crime.
WTF has a Romanian ATM thief got to do with the EU vote?

Sadly, when the thread touched on those issues, some seemed uncomfortable and pushed it back to their tedious pet topic, or non-topics..

I find this as ignorant and uninformed as those who were ******ed enough to only take migration into account when deciding how to vote.

You've devoted an amazing amount of time and effort in belittling the reasoning behind others vote yet you also failed to fully take into account the wider spectrum of issues basing your vote on something that was important to you.

Why is your vote any more valid?

Many will be thinking what has the city and our financial services ever done for me?

(Spewing this out on the phone so may be interpreted differently to how it was intended)

I'm afraid any time someone tries to make a broader point, it gets shut down or goes off at a tangent because some transiently irrelevant and innocuous comment in a post gets picked apart (like black slavery in North Africa!!!) rather than actually having dialogue on the broader point being made. I personally believe that some on here deliberately use this narrowmindedness as a form of misdirection to derail any serious debate. As such, I now pop on here every now and again, laugh at people's bigotry and short-sightedness, and then leave it to fester like the pulp infected petri dish it is.

Oh, do **** off! I've belittled nobody!

I may well have insulted some of those who insulted me first. And maybe that's a fault. I shouldn't respond in kind.

Yes, the economy is hugely important. Everything else stems from it. If you're economy is not performing, your options are very limited in all other areas.

And talking of ignorant and uninformed, you've just epitomized it!..
