    Hurricane Higgins was the first sports personality, that I remember doing this on TV, false sentimentality is what it is, nothing more.

    You have a heart of stone mate.

    I've no idea how I might react, just after winning the world championship of whatever sport I was into, given the sacrifices I might have made to get there.

    If I'd seen it just once, I might doubt their sincerity. But I see it in so many sports, week in, week out, so I believe in the honesty of the moment.
