Behold - 'The Valley of the Fallen'
He's buried there, but a lot of Spaniards want his remains moved out.

Exact same with Lenin in Moscow. Both brutal, repressive dictators. Just leave their remains be and let 'em rest.

Messi sentenced to 21 months in prison

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi and his father Jorge have been sentenced to 21 months in prison for tax fraud, but won’t spent any time behind bars.

The Messis were found to have evaded tax on Lionel’s image rights, owing more than €4m in back payments, and the Court of Catalonia has sentenced the pair to just under two years in prison.

However, as the sentence is short of two years, and neither Lionel nor Jorge have a criminal record, they won’t be required to serve any jail time.

Leo Messi had argued that he wasn’t aware of the tax arrangements set in place by his father and other advisors, but the state attorney, Mario Maza, compared the player to a mafia boss, who has deniability on the illegal goings-on in his name, El Periodico notes.

As I said at the start of the thread - there's no chance they would actually jail the best and most profitable footballer in the world.

I have not read the article. No need or point.

Messi was never going to jail.

<laugh> I should have realised four sentences was a little too much for you.

    Yes. Whatever you say.

What your reply has to do with you being unable to read four sentences, I have no idea.

As is the case with you. No Idea.

I will let you work the rest out. Then again don't bother.

It's almost like we're just overhearing your conversations to yourself as you huddle in the corner, slowly rocking back and forth.

Denies up to €4 million in taxes to a country with 20% unemployment and is plagued by austerity? Spanish families struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table for their kids and this bastard won't pay his fair share of tax?

    ****.
