Sounds like Klopp doesn't want him. He had a great season for Brentford for an 18/19 year old, in fact it was good whatever age he is.

I'm pleased we have a clear focus on talented young players as we do have lots of experience in the team. Would like a more experienced striker and CB though.

 

Wondering how much is the bias of a Liverpool fan website calling him "top young talent". Still, exciting prospect! The price is cheap enough for a punt.

 

So to get them both in for approximately half of what Redmond left for would be an excellent start to the window. And leave money in the kitty towards a decent CB or striker.

 

If we get those 2, I'd feel a lot more settled. Redmond, and Brady probably leaving is a scary prospect at the moment.

Not sure about decent strikers for our level? Id love Big Dave but no chance. Someone of his ilk would be great. Big, strong, fast, eye for goal (with decent service) and can hold the ball up like Iwan Roberts!

 

Everyone has for about 5-6 seasons. We are still waiting.

Bit of transfer news: Johann Berg Gudmundsson, the Iceland and Charlton winger, is set to sign for Burnley for £2.5m + £1m in add-ons.

I'm starting to get tired of reading on football update sites how Liverpool have accepted a bid of circa £2.5m for Sergi Canós - this is the fourth day it's been reported, so where is the player, why hasn't he had a medical and discussed terms yet. This could join countless others and slip through our fingers like grains of sand unless we pull our bloody fingers out and show some genuine ambition for a change.
Or is tying a deal down a bridge too far for our 'transfer advisory panel' or whatever the hell they're called?

 

I suspect that's more to do with crap "news" sites than a reflection of what's actually going on.

 

But it's been on the Pinkun, Sky Sports and BBC, not HTIC, Vital Norwich and garbage like that

I've never been a fan of buying players based on 1 decent tournament, not sure that's the right way to base your recruitments on.

If he hadn't done well in the Euros would you still be wanting him? A player that plays for a club that has just been relegated to League 1?
