    Trying to find positives in today's disappointing events and hopefully spotted a small pattern in Ashley's transfer dealings this summer. Although Cabaye always looked likely he would join, he signed on the 10th June 2011. Captain Kevin Nolan departed just 6 days later.

    We are also aware that we have been very interested in a certain right-winger from Leverkusen. Seems to me that Routledge and Barton are as good as gone and both will smiling in a different part of the UK in the next week or two, does this mean we already have a replacement lined up and ready to sign like last time, quite possibly Tranquillo Barnetta?

    Thoughts?

    Wed be very lucky to get Barreta. (i will not chop off anything if he signs)

    We still have a strong midfield

    The god Tiote, Vuckic the lad that Madrid wanted, Gosling only left due to Everton ****ing up big time, Abeid cant wait to see him tomorrow

    Doubt it knowing us we'll probably sign Danny ****tu and deploy him at right wing or something stupid
    Theres always young Jimmy Bullard he could play there too
    Im cringing at both ideas :(

    Yeah I realise I'm clutching at straws here but I did say things like ''trying to find positives'' and ''hopefully spotted a small pattern''. Perhaps I should have said ''hopefully found an emerging pattern''.....

    ....still would make logical sense but when has Ashley's mind ever thought logically?

    Tranquillo Barnetta no thanks I don't think he will make it in the EPL and will flop but thats my opinion I do have good knowledge on players, we should have gone for Jeremy menez 8m when he was available watched him in the emirates cup at the weekend reminds me of a Luis Figo/Robert Pires best player on the pitch for PSG, Barton should have been sold at the start of the season because it seems like he was never in their plans this season.
