Hummels has told the German press that he would have joined us this season had we qualified for the CL. Saw a presser with him earlier in the day - what a clever guy, shame we lost out on him. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...eveals-turned-Manchester-United-transfer.html
Dortmund will be playing in CL next season yet he still left for Bayern. We definitely don't need players that are that short sighted.
Full quote - 'Fundamentally, England, Spain and Germany were the relevant leagues I could see myself playing football in. But at this stage there just was not that one English club where the overall package was fitting. The overall package means: a club which fascinates me; a club I have always wanted to join, and where the sporting constellation is right, and which of course plays Champions League football next season. And because of the latter one club was ruled out, and you can envision which club that was.'
Why would he join the current United when he can join Bayern? LVG ****ed us and walked away with millions!
No he hasn't. He has said that us failing to qualify for the CL ruled us out of consideration entirely. That doesn't mean he would have joined us immediately, no questions asked, if we had qualified. Bayern were always the favourite for his sig.
He TRIED one of the hardest jobs in football, I think you're being a touch unfair. As for now, well, I think you're filling up with too many superstars.
Which is my point. If you're including Pogba then I wouldn't say he's a superstar and Bailly and Michitarian are very definitely not. Which leaves one, Ibrahimovich.
This guy pops onto various boards just to tell the residents that their club is making some bad choices. He's been on the Chav board having a pop at Conte who pretty much over achieved with Italy.
This guy is a gal, Dawn. Anyway, she is still incorrect in that we have signed one superstar (in his own head) and two other players that are miles from it and who we need, those being centre half and right sided attacker. I don't see the issue.
Nice one Chief. I wasn't having a pop on the Chelsea board as I merely posted that coaches often don't make a successful transition from country to club, I fail to see the pop. I also said that I'm not sure how it bodes only reaching the quarter finals for a successful spell at Chelsea, again I fail to see the pop. Merely opinions. I seem to recall Pogba might be a world record signing which is again an opinion on superstar status. Yes, I am Dawn.
If you think that Conte didn't do well to take that Italian squad to within a penalty kick of beating Germany then you need your football head read.
Thank you Stan. First time Germany beat Italy in a major competition so Conte broke the trend.I still feel that going farther than the last eight would have been a better springboard for the PL, that's all.
