Which also beggars the question, if you knew you were voting the country into an almost certain recession, why did you do it?....

But, of course, it'll all be worth it so long as they don't have to live next door to a darkie!...

    .....and right on cue....<laugh>

So, with the onset of doom and gloom, what have we all been doing to help our fellow man today?

Many simply didn't care, as their benefits will keep dropping into the account irrespective.

Many others simply just didn't get it. The closing of the door on immigrants was perceived to be the catalyst for more jobs, more social housing and better rates of pay. Which completely ignores the economic aspect of the withdrawal and they didn't make the correlation between a falling economy and less jobs, higher prices and less public spending that would accompany the closing of the door.

Those who say they knew the economy would take a bath and still voted for it, in the hope of some undefined, unplanned and never explained - better tomorrow - I simply don't understand, and never will.

I think too many bought into this 'it's all scaremongering' argument. I'd love to know what some of those people think now they can see what's actually happening?.

Tbf, its factually incorrect about the ftse 250, thats still down from pre referendum levels.

The ftse 100 and ftse 350 on the otherhand are wildly higher than the pre referedum levels!

The FTSE100 is doing well as investors are putting their money into safer multi national companies. The 250 is down as it's mostly British companies.

I don't know where Custard gets his memes from but they are almost always factually incorrect. Sadly there are millions of brain dead Custards lapping up incorrect information.

to be fair to him, that diagram probably isn't wrong because generally people speak so much **** so i'm sure there are quotes in there that can be found.

How about the answer to the ftse 350?

Not arguing that the economy isn't going to be worse off short term as i believe that is the case, however the logic you state above doesn't run true for ftse 350.

I know that road, the 395 through Lone Pine. Classic Californian desert road. I've driven that from Mono Lake to the Mojave desert. There's a great diner called Totem cafe in Lone Pine that does the best char broiled burgers in California. The 395 is one road that you do not want to break down on. It was 120 degrees the last time I was there.

It's funny how every establishment pronouncement for years was met with indifference or downright ridicule but since the referendum was announced the Remainers have hung on every word!
