Squad announced. Phillips left at home along with usual suspects. Did I miss Hoilett being sold? Sold looks lightweight especially a lack of rights backs.
No Toszer or fer & sandro, interesting Phillips not gone, hoilett not our player anymore off the books, caulker gone but might return with rumours about are true.
PSV FIXTURE UPDATE www.qpr.co.uk REGRETTABLY, Friday’s pre-season friendly fixture against PSV Eindhoven will now be played behind-closed-doors. Rangers were due to lock horns with the reigning Eredivisie champions at RKSV Driel, but – as confirmed on www.qpr.co.uk last Thursday – the game at that venue was cancelled owing to security concerns. A new venue – which we have been prevented from naming – has now been selected, but unfortunately the Mayor, police and local authorities have refused QPR supporters admission to the behind-closed-doors fixture, despite the club’s pleas for cooperation in allowing those who have already purchased tickets, flights and accommodation to watch the game. The fixture – which will now kick-off at 3.30pm local time – will, however, be streamed live onwww.qpr.co.uk – FREE for QPR supporters. QPR’s Director of Football, Les Ferdinand, told www.qpr.co.uk: “We are incredibly disappointed with this outcome, especially because we’ve cooperated and communicated fully with PSV throughout this process. “After the RKSV Driel cancellation, we had hoped PSV would find another suitable venue where the local authorities would allow both QPR and PSV fans to watch the friendly, but we were informed that this was not possible. “I can only apologise to those QPR supporters who have purchased tickets, as well as flights and accommodation, but this really is completely out of our hands. “Supporters who have purchased tickets for this fixture will be entitled to a full refund* from the QPR Box Office.” QPR CEO, Lee Hoos, added: “I have great sympathy for the fans who have travelled, and also the Dutch Super Hoops who I know were looking forward to this PSV fixture. “I’m sure they’re asking themselves why they bother spending money and time supporting the club.” He added: “I am very disappointed – our fans deserve much better treatment than this. “Whilst we can’t make things happen in Holland that are outside our control, a QPR representative will be contacting all supporters who have purchased tickets directly over the next 24 hours. "In the meantime, the club are liaising with the Dutch Super Hoops official supporters group to arrange a meeting point for all R's fans to watch the free stream of the game together, which we will publicise in due course." Hasselbaink and his squad are keen to thank all those fans who will be in Holland this weekend, by hosting an open training session on Saturday (July 9th). The open session will take place at RKSV Juliana Mill, Langenboomseweg 7, 5451 JH Mill in Nijmigen on Saturday at 10.30am. Supporters should note, our fixture against FC Groningen remains unchanged. Hasselbaink's charges will take on Tjaronn Chery’s former club at De Langeleegte Stadium, Veendam, on Monday 11th July (7.00pm local time). *To obtain a refund, please contact the QPR Box Office on 08444777007 for further information. f ****ing unbelievable. Somebody at this club couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. I could have spent the day enjoying Amsterdam but I booked a hotel in Arnhem which is not nearly as appealing as Amsterdam. Think this will be the last time I will book to go to a pre-season friendly. I went to two previous games in Germany but this is taking the piss. PS - Thanks for posting 999;s.
I really feel sorry for you and the other fans who had arranged flights etc to go out there mate. This isn't QPR's fault though. My understanding is that the PSV fans ( If you can call them that ) had planned a Russian Euro '16 style attack on the QPR supporters. The authorities couldn't guarantee the safety of the travelling R's and had no option but to cancel it.
Official streams for the PSV match: The PSV friendly behind closed doors (kick off on Friday at 15.30) will be streamed for free on www.psv.nl and www.qpr.co.uk.
