He was. Benks was very critical of his keeping and leadership in the field. But he ignored Wheater's batting. Alongside Ervine, he was the only member of the top seven who didn't deserve to be dropped. Given that Dawson can seemingly only score limited overs runs, his England call up is a blessing somewhat.

Still got McManus, Berg and Andrew to come after these two. Should really get 400 on that basis (even if it's not inside the 110 overs).
 
Stoneman and Stone would be excellent signings. Chopra would be a steady-Will-Smith-like signing, but I couldn't see setting the world alight.

Good first 75 mins today. We really have missed Berg at 9.
 
Dawson will get the chance to bat at 8 and bowl one over tomorrow, given that he's been confirmed in the team alongside Vince.

That's my thoughts about the 3 players. Excellent morning for us. Put us right in the driving seat. Plus Rushworth is injured.
 
Two of Durham's big four gone already, but rain could arrive within the hour.

I really do hope that this winter we do finally manage to get McLaren to agree to play as a kolpak for next season.
 
Surrey are collapsing in their second innings, but on the flip side Notts are going alright.

Wow, their scores were very poor for a game in Guildford. You usually see big scores here. It's right across the road from my flat - I can watch games through the living room window. :)
 
Right, that's maximum bowling points secured. Get this last wicket quickly and we'll have 15+overs to build on our lead tonight. Weather forecast is fine for tomorrow so let's go for it Hampshire!
