Of course, just pointing out the error in portraying him as a UK voter...

    Racist.

The drive down the PCH is amazing. Especially the section from Carmel by sea through Big Sur and down to Santa Barbara. If you ever go back I would definitely recommend a few nights camping in Yosemite national park.

I lived in park slope, Brooklyn for a while after I graduated and did a research project with a health care charity. Love NYC. I used to be able to get the subway a couple of blocks from my apartment with my surfboard and go all the way to rockaway for a few waves :)

They said Brexit would be bad for the economy but look at all the job openings that have been created.

But not leader of the opposition!...

What's the matter with Corbyn? Always has to try and be different. Everybody else has resigned, but he won't.

Yeah we did that section mate, after having a night in Monterey Bay. Didn't get to Yosemite though as we didn't have time. We eventually went inland and had a night up in the old Indian reservation at Lone Pine and then drove through Death Valley to Vegas :)

The number of vulnerable households could increase due to a tougher economic outlook.”

“You want to make sure that as a family, as an individual, that you’ll be able to service that mortgage when times are tough; you don’t want to lose your home,”

Exactly what we said before the referendum. Disposable income will fall making those working homeowners on lower incomes the most vulnerable.

An index by YouGov Plc and the Centre for Economics and Business Research published on Tuesday found the proportion of U.K. businesses that are pessimistic about the economic outlook climbed to 49 percent, from 25 percent in the run-up to the referendum. Scott Corfe, the institute’s director, said expectations for sales, exports and investments have “gone off a cliff.”

So now half of all UK businesses think the outlook is poor and export and investment expectations are dire. Exactly what we said before the referendum...

Yes, pretty much. But, of course, I or we will be accused of 'stating the obvious'

As Carney made clear, due to the recent strength of the economy, liquidity will not be a problem. Confidence, however, is another matter...

One of the most worrying things for me is pretty much what I suspected may happen. The rapid drying up of investment capital into the UK.

Same here. Capital investment has slowed since the announcement of the referendum and will slow to a trickle until there's complete clarity over what we're going to end up with i.e. access to the free market.

As for confidence, if consumer confidence crashes then we're ****ed. Not sure some of Carney's words were helpful in that regard either tbh.

'Stating the obvious' that most leave voters poured scorn on before the referendum as 'doom mongering', a brilliant stance that was, talk about trying to have both sides of the argument <laugh>

I shall await their analysis of Carney's comments with baited breath.

It's one thing hearing what the Governor of the BoE thinks about it. but what really matters is what a couple of middle aged (or older?) blokes from Hull conclude with their extensive knowledge of Global economics :)

Pretty much as almost everyone predicted.

What it needs is confidence and stability, which means instead of just trying to revel in the doom, some need to look wider and start seizing the opportunities.

The naysayers are holding us back.
