Brilliant innit. Biggest achievement in Welsh Team sport ever. Just got up. The party will continue in a couple of hours.
I've been to many football stadiums and events in various sports, but I can honestly say that the experience of watching Wales in your packed home town pub with all your mates roaring them on was one of my great sporting moments - I never thought that possible!
this has been the most positive experience ive ever witnessed...........what else could bring all welsh football together other than a team we are proud 2 call our own...........fk me ive never enjoyed a Swansea player having success in any way shape or form but this has blown lots of old scores settling out of the water, and im ok with saying its brill 2see the unity for once............ long may it continue
I went out to some of the games and the outstanding feature has been the unity of the fans and their willingness to put their club loyalties aside and get behind the Welsh team. Lets hope this is a lasting legacy for future Welsh trips. TogetherStronger has been the slogan and never has a slogan been more appropriate. Win or lose on Wednesday, the nation has had one hell of a party!
I can tell you that every Englishman in the pub on Friday night was rooting for you boys. And I think you will beat Portugal next up. You've nothing to fear. Come on Wales!
Missing Ramsey & Davies a big disadvantage. Still it'll be close. Portugal seem to have led a charmed life each time I've seen them.
Portugal will start as favourites and that will suit us. The oft quoted stat is that they haven't won a game in 90 minutes in this tournament. The big decider for me is the difference between Ronaldo and Bale. Both excellent players, but Bale's attitude is exemplary. He plays for the team and the team play for him. Ronaldo sulks and pouts when things don't go his way, he tries to be the star of the show and parade his tricks, but that works against him with his team mates. Bale is supportive of those around him with far less talent, he tracks back for them, he applauds when they do or attempt good things, he cajoles them when things are not going right. They get the best out of each other. Bale knows he can't do it on his own, Ronaldo thinks he can, to the detriment of the team. The Welsh back 3 (4 with Hennessey) are solid and are the foundation for the midfield to strut their stuff with a striker (whoever plays) who offers himself for the midfield and looks to bring them into the game. A true team effort. Bale is a cog in the engine just like the other 10 and the 12 on the bench. A BIG cog, but part of the same machine.
We are in dream land, Coleman has achieved something I never thought he was capable of, fair play to him, he has produced a great team spirit, and the passion just oozes from the Welsh camp, long may it continue, it has lifted the nation, unbelievable stuff............
In addition to the difficult situation that he took over from and how dreadful they were in the following months. It's quite unbelievable and I for one certainly thought he was useless. Credit also to Speed (RIP), Tosh and Flynn for the groundwork leading to this. And somebody tell the BBC to bin Robbie Savage...
I have to say the vast majority of TV pundits have been great, including Robbie Savage, and John Hartson. I suppose Robbie is marmite, but i think he is great. To bin a character is to bin life in itself. I think we can make it, and will be making the long trek to Lyon starting at 05.30am tomorrow morning, i just hope this time i dont get as many speeding tickets as the last time.
After partying on the streets of France with Jacks I've no idea how the f**k i'm supposed to go back to hating you guys
He's hilarious and worth his corn but nowhere as good as Pulis (Hazaaaaaard has worked haaaaaaaaaard this haaaaaaaaaaaaalf ) However Harston has been terrible; why do they pay him for his bland, dull & predictable comments?
