Or that Labour allowed unlimited migration into the UK in the first place.

That's a guess. We can discuss any deal we want it doesn't have to be that which the WTO guy says.

Careful of getting into a 'kitchen arms race' when the Americans and the Russians tried to one up each other it eventually led to the collapse of the of the Russian economy! You don't want to reach your 'Kitchen Event Horizon' where you have so many kitchens your whole industry can only be geared to producing more kitchens and then collapses in on itself and you find your self in only one kitchen - a soup kitchen!

Thank **** I paid for the holiday in February and we are on an all inclusive package! I would NOT have enjoyed signing off every meal and drink at that exchange rate!

That's very true, we can go with Boris' and Nige's guesses that everything will be fine and dandy and we'll all live happily ever after - well that was their guesses before they did a runner without a plan. But in the real world I'd say the WTO, BoE, OECD, EU, US Prez and majority of economist know a bit more about it. And just maybe people with plans, experience and authority in this field are worthy of listening to...

    An HMO in Mitcham.

Gove's been on the phone already. He told him to leave the Pole missus at home though.

Yup it's put my honeymoon up the pisser a bit. I got married just before the referendum and didn't get a chance to change my money before it (I was also hoping for sanity in the result) and now need to pay for the hotel and change to Euros before going. At least I've got until September, by which point someone besides Carney should have found a semblance of a plan behind a sofa somewhere and the pound should stabilise and may climb a bit!

Cue: grow a back bone, Rule Britannia, it'll all be grand, we'll do better sorting out trade deals as a tiny island than a Union of 28 Nations, economy of scale doesn't exist etc etc ad infinitum

So today is a bit of a wobbly day for the FTSE as investors are waiting on BOE commentary.

Today the top performing company in the FTSE100 is BAT.

    Number 4 is Paddy Power.

    Number 9 is Diageo.

When I first started investing in the stock market I was advised that in times of trouble the best industries to invest in are ***s, booze and betting. The Jeremy Kyle Show scum will always indulge in their ***s, booze and betting and when the world turns to **** the rest of us join them.

More luck than judgement for the Stans. We were recommended this place by some friends and it is an AI resort. I'm going to encourage the Stans to eat and drink enough to keep them going for the next 6 months. Personally I will be on the pop from midday (drinking before midday is just too pikey, it's like having a pint at the airport at 7am).

I've hired a villa in the Algarve, not paid for it yet, not booked the flights and we tend to eat out every night.

I think I might have to sell a kidney.

It's not a guess, it's the position of the head of the WTO.

    Ouch.

Whereabouts in the Algarve? Mrs Stan won't do villas, she likes to be waited on in a hotel. I'd love a villa holiday as I can never totally relax in a hotel.
