Spending less than £20m on a quality striker spells another crap season.....Huw involvement with signing players spells another crap season.....Missing out on target players being snapped up by our rivals because we are too slow or we don't bid enough spells a crap season.........Huw have built us up and now he can destroy us just as easily as he cant let his lower league mentality go.

Fer , Van Der Hoorn and Kanu .......what do they have in common . 1- When the big lights come on these players have shone . .All had their best season when they hit the top flight 2 - CHEAP ,3- They all know their way around a headed ball .
This striker thing is a half assed myth ,It's like Ayew and Gomis don't exist .
I think if Curtis and then Guidiolin had the team from the start last season , we would be talking different about our current squad . The club won't spend anything over 10 million on a purchase from here , unless it's a beauty deal .
Most important people this season ...." Guidolin and Curtis " .
Lefty , when Reading and QPR were relegated ......Kanu and Fer were the bright lights during dark times and both burnt out on the drop . Well ......they're back , hopefully with Kanu .

Well we've just come out of a great season despite having a liability as a manager at the start of the season. We have players who score goals, siggy for one is a great player and our top scorer last season.

Your opinion whilst valid doesn't mean it's going to happen, I don't think we need to spend hugely to get a player who can fit in. You always relate ambition to money spent, we must be a real crap team as we have underspent by about £100m since we been in the premier league, on average you have said £25m a window. That is not realistic

Agree. As I've said, he'd be a great 3rd choice, similar to the Emnes role, but the more I think of it, it would be better to get Bony's replacement, a replacement for Palo/Gomis and use Kenji as our 3rd choice.

But they spent it on crap players.

The likes of Bony, Joe, Townsend, Redmond etc would add real quality, and more important, they have plenty of experience in the PL.

It's one thing to do it in France, Holland, Italy etc, but the PL is a different animal.

We still don't have a quality No1 striker of any worth and that's a worry as we have started Pre-season in preparation for the USA trip.

Hopefully now that he's out of the Euros we can nail him into a new contract before clubs come calling.

All of the debates on this thread about signings etc, him signing a new contract is arguably more important than any new signings.

Wanna bet !!! I'll have a royally fantastic smirk if he is and scores at the pace he did the last time he was in the Premier . Also , Wales couldn't qualify for a major event with Bellamy up front , and now they are in the semi finals of Euro with someone else up front .

My post was directed at Gomis :)

But on another point, are you seriously comparing Robson-Kanu, with Craig Bellamy? <yikes>

According to the media, we are the front runners for kanu's signiture, with Southampton and Watford trailing, of course Brenda at Celtic is linked with everything as well........... <laugh>

Well , Kanu has a better scoring % per minute in the Premier than Bellamy and although Kanu only has 4 goals in 34 appearances for Wales I'm guessing not a lot of those were starts and he didn't get much of chance while Bellamy and others was sucking front teet .
2 of Kanu goals have been in this Euro though , the winner against Slovakia and the winner ( and what a winner ) against #2 world ranked Belgium.....

You're off your bloody trolley comparing Bellamy and Kanu. Put Bellamy on this Welsh team and we'd be unstoppable.

    Bellam was a class player.

Joe,Ramsay,Bale,Ash etc weren't as good as they are now and Bellamy was at the end of his career.

Loved Bellamy I wish we had signed him earlier. I watched him play for Norwich many years ago and he was brilliant then.

Bellars was my most favourite enemy player. If cardiff had took that little bit of risk in making bellars manager like we did with martinez then i think they would be with us in the premiership by now.....
