Let them battle it out for Pelle, he's the easiest to replace in my opinion. He's never been deadly in front of goal but yea he scores the amount you would expect a striker to score, plenty of those in Europe to be snapped up.

If everton buy him, I think the fans will start a massive grumble. All that money promised, & they've signed our 2nd keeper, given Darren Gibson a new contract & are trying to capture a 30 yo Italian, while the hottest Belgium striker looks to leave. If it were a good price, I wouldn't mind seeing that situation unfold.

(If your reading this Grazi, then I'm only joking pal). <ok>

Tbf, if you didn't know the score you'd have probably thought Pelle was the one with the bigger price tag. I used to think Lukaku was worth paying a fair bit of money for. But the club that pays the £30M Everton are asking will not be getting a bargain, in my opinion. His potential has stood still since he went to Everton. In fact, I would contend that he's slightly worse than what he was at WBA.

I'm not a big fan of RL, but if you look at his record, age & potential, he is worth more in this climate.

He was excellent for most of last season. Did have a somewhat lengthy spell of futility, but 25 goals in all competitions isn't exactly a disappointment.

And I'd imagine that Everton wants, and will receive, more than £30m for him. Probably much more.

Perhaps it's 20 million to Everton, 10 million to every one else. :)

I love the idea of you driving away from Walton with £20m in suitcase. You know, going back to your car where a bunch of scallies asked you for £5 each to "look after yer car, mister" and the alloys have already been sold to the lad with old XR3.

You might want to re-think this idea.

Nope I like the idea lol
And let's be honest if we got 20mill for Pelle then I think I would piss my pants all way back down south, but in fairness they ain't the only club that we've mugged in recent months

Unless it actually happens, I am never going to believe that anyone would offer us £20m for Pelle. If he leaves this summer, I'm expecting it to be for about £6m. Maybe up to £10m, if a few clubs get involved in a bidding war to push the price up.

If there's a Chinese club interested that would help enormously price wise.

Like Pelle, and would certianly prefer for him not to go to Everton but have no strong feelings otherwise on whether he stays or goes if the price was right.

We would get back at least what we paid for him.

I think if we do sell Pellè we should put a clause in the deal so he has to take all the penalties for his new club.

Fair play to the club if we do. 31 years old now, one year left on his contract, issues with his knee. So to get the two years of service out of him that we have, and then get back what we paid, would be excellent business in my book.

I've seen a few clubs linked, but not yet us. Interesting if we are though.

I do really like him a player (I remember admiring him at Plymouth), but I'm not sure about the £20m fee banded about. A large part of me would be tempted to say thank you but no thank you, at that price.
