Pelle - aw bless him - let's give him some love! Italy striker Graziano Pelle isn’t taking his missed penalty in *that* shoot-out defeat to Germany too well by the sounds of his quotes after the match. The Southampton striker was one of four Italian players to miss their spot-kick, although Pelle’s was more notable after he had gestured to Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer before the kick that he was going to score with a Paneka. Safe to say it didn’t work out so well for the big frontman as his effort then dribbled wide and he was left apologising to his country and proclaiming that he is a nobody in the mixed zone afterwards.
Anyone else looking forward England's epic match with France at the mighty Stade de France tonight? Chance to play Germany in the semifinal in a repeat of Euro 96...
Aw, he is hugely self critical. Now if he'd had just a little more nerve he would have told Neuer he was going to do a Panenka and then actually done it. Had he then scored it would have screwed with Neuer's brain for the rest of the shoot out. What ifs
