Pelle's penalty was the big one. Germany had just missed two in a row, his pen would've put Italy 2 up on them.
Yep. Loads of them were doing stupid stuff on those early penalties. The Italy number 7 obviously, but also Muller trying to stare Buffon out and not looking at the ball at any point, and Pelle's useless attempt. They all seemed to get their acts together after that spell.
Frigging hell that was stressful. Mostly because of my missus. Me: oh they're at the Italian end for the penalties Wife: how? Didn't they change ends at half time? Me: what? Wife: they changed ends. How can that... Me: the Italians fans have been there all game... Wife: but they swapped... Me: STOP TALKING OMFG Wife: this is why I don't like watching football with you. You're moody. Ffs
Tell me about it.. I'm back home at the moment, had my mom narrating the whole thing. Mom: "So...is this a big game?" Me: Yeah, it's the quarter final" Mom: Ah okey, so the winner of the game will go through? Me: No. The losing team goes through to the semifinal (very sarcastically) Mom: Oh okey, interesting. That would be interesting to watch tho Whole new dimension to the game
Hahah, very good We're international enough to use the word "Match" tho, instead of "Spel" (which still translates to game, just another kind of game) End of tonights Swedish lesson Time to sleep
Simone Zaza has just apologised for letting Italy fans down with his bizarre penalty miss at Euro 2016 on Saturday. He'd have apologised earlier, but he's only just finished the run-up.
I saw one of the Icelandic players, the one with long hair, has got a modelling contract now in the UK, maybe Zaza will get a spot in strickly come dancing.
Zazas ludicrous miss and Pelles absurd gesture to Neuer would wind me up no end if I was an Italy fan, never seen anything like it. Great entertainment though, here's hoping it's taken a toll on the Germans and France can make the final
