Just started watching Mr Robot on Amazon Videos, about an anti-social vigilante hacker, impressed with it so far.
Well I'm watching one of the 52 films that I have recorded from the most excellent TV channel @talkingpicturestv if older posters haven't discovered this gem of a channel it's on Freeview 81 Freesat 306 and it's also on Murdoch's platform somewhere for those who wish to line his pockets with his rip off subscriptions
Final part of a 3 parter Wallander tonight, in earlier series I preferred the Swedish episodes, but this final series starring Branagh has been excellent!
The new Ghostbusters movie out this summer will you go to see it? Have they got the casting right? Acording to this article by the BBC, they have, even if they have then got the film wrong with poor dialoge and limited humour. Whilst it will be hard to see anyone in the roles except the original bunch, I would not have objected to the all female cast in ernest, even if it is PC nonsence to have switched to all female in the first place. But it seems they have got the casting of these women horribly wrong in my book. Lets say that it is a good idea for equality to cast female stars instead of men. Why then go for the racial stereotype of a large, shouty african american lady? And worst of all is the casting of the thoroughly awful Melissa McCathy, surely there is no greater current hollywood guarantee of a horrible and unfunny film than with her involvement? As was stated by the article, you don't want a cast of pretty and fully functional folk, the originals were off centre anti heroes but these bunch if we assume the trailor to be highlights are not up to it. Bah!
Bloodline Season 2 - A little slow and disappointing, reasonably exciting last few episodes, but in the whole scheme of things, didn't really advance the story.
The Leftovers Season 2 - If you have tried the first Season and found it baffling. Stick with it. Season 2 is still pretty baffling, but really gripping. Season 1 I'd give a low 8. probably give Season 2 a 9.
Blacklist Season 2 - Very good again, not quiet as gripping as the first, but still very good. Maron Season 1 - Like a slightly poorer "Louie", got potential. Amusing, not laugh out loud funny. You, Me & The Apocalypse - Surprisingly pretty watchable. Reminds me of "The Wrong Mans" a bit. Some funny bits, and interesting storyline. Sometimes a bit cliche.
You me and the apocalypse was diabolical. I still chastise myself for enduring 3 1/2 episodes rather than the 1, when my mind was already telling me it was squit! The blacklist is on my list Bah!
It was a slow burner. Last 3-4 episode were pretty good and saved it. Blacklist is very good! Bit of a mission though with 23ish episodes a Season.
I liked the idea of it but I thought it was poorly executed and I didn't really care about the evil twin thing, kinda found that irritating. Also it was suppose to be a comedy and I didn't laugh once.
11/22/63 Fantastic show. Great to finally see a King book done well! Beautifully shot, great acting. The idea was developed really well.
You're The Worst Season 2 - Brilliant and funny again! X-Files Season 10 - Surprisingly, not terrible. 2 or 3 good episodes out of the 6. Only a couple of bad ones.
Watching Stan Lee's Lucky Man at the moment. 2 episodes to go. Been a really enjoyable thriller. Loving it.
