We're short of midfield talent and Barton has it all. He's a good tackler, passer, came 5th on the assist charts last season, he can cross and can take corners well. He's also available for free and can play in a variety of roles in the centre of the midfield. I think he would personally be a great squad signing and can definitely improve our frankly average midfield. No ****ing way.I would rather eat my own Balls than have that **** wear our Jersey. Apart from his many horrible characteristics, he would be targeted as someone to wind up in the big games because the **** is a loose canon.
If people would stop being such idiots and look at him as purely a footballer then he is talented. Along with Ben Afra, probably the best player that Newcastle have and like Parker, would be good for most if not all clubs in the league. HOWEVER. There is a proviso. You don't buy players anymore purely as a footballer and off the field (and sometimes on the field) he is lacking somewhat and that hasn't exactly endeared him to fans up and down the country. But it wouldn't surprise me if SAF did an Owen and actually made him into something more than what he is.
HOWEVER. There is a proviso. SAF is claimed to run allsorts of background checks on transfer targets, their Character, History, Mentality etc JB would be an epic fail in each and everyone of those. On the up-side he could be a good role model for young Ravel.
