Thats the thing, 8 of the players did come through the Welsh set up together. That's why they are calling it #togetherness. But if you go back through history some English players was actually born in Wales they are a strange lot up by Chester. Also the English FA tried to get Giggs to become English as well. Bale literally can't have a conversation without mentioning England. To be fair what he has said it's true it is odd. I probably am bitter but I have to say the welsh mentality does remind me of our Pikey friends up north.
I personally believe he don't care one way or the other, he did say that he wished that video didn't go out as they was like this with other teams as well. He knows he came through English academy with Southampton and then stepped up with Tottenham. So I suspect a big majority of his close friends are English. I think the media try and build up this rivalry and prompt him to much. I get it both ways, the English call me a Welsh twat, the Welsh say I'm English. But at the end of the day I'm Welsh with over half my uncles, aunties and cousins all English. My wife and 2 of my kids are English so I've never understood the hostility to each other. If we went to war you would be standing alongside each other defending Britain. I like the banter between me and Shiny and you now. But there is one or two posters who are negative towards Wales it's oozing the hostility. The one thing I do know and realise is that after Bale, Ramsey and co get old we will be back in the struggling to qualify times.
