I was only tickling you because "sniffer" (whoever he really is) would say something like "losing Taylor would not be good". Clearly it wouldn't and, so far, we haven't
When you suggested we might be saving Taylors wage in post 28 I thought you had heard he was leaving.
I think a lot of people suspect he might be leaving based on him entering the last year of his contract and being sought after. Certainly don't claim to be in the know but do have a right to point out the folly of not tying down our best home grown players to longer contracts.
You can only tie down players to new contracts that are willing to sign new ones a la Byram. Some will opt for the express lift to the pl riches and I fully understand that.
Well I think they should show some loyalty, I can understand older players going for one last big pay off, but our young lads are still learning. Why play in the reserves in the PL when they can learn their trade by getting regular first team football. That's why IMO one of the reasons that the English national side did so badly in the end was because there is little or no hunger left because ordinary players can earn obscene amounts of money.
Spot on shaks. One point to remember though is many players are said and led by their agents and in many cases agents only care about making a quick buck.
100% right Eire......agents in general are parasites. A bit like UNIONS, I hated having to join them, but it was a necessary evil...
Guys, what happened to the big "kick the GFC sponging b@stards out of our club" board summit meeting that was supposed to happen a while ago? Take it the leeches are still there?
Personally think some of their previous dealings will eventually come back to haunt them and they'll be forced out or maybe out of business. Could be wishful thinking on my part
