Lascelles and Mbemba will be solid in the Championship. If Janmaat thinks he will be getting a move to the Champions League this season he's in for a massive wake up call.

It was addressed last season significantly though, Laecelles and Mbemba were an excellent combination, we've ditched the godawful Saylor, and if he stays Colo the clown will hardly get much game time. Anita and Dummett are fine as full backs, and we have back up in Haidara, Mbabu etc.

They were solid in the PL, it was the clowns alongside Mbemba early in the season that was the problem and the manager. We need an experienced leader to supplement these guys.

Anita is a primarily a midfielder, you shouldn't need players 'filling in'. The rest aren't good enough or will be leaving.

Laecelles and Mbemba should be formidable in the championship. I have my doubts about Dummett, but willing to accept he should be at least solid in that division, he's not any better than that though, imo. I don't know about Mbabu, tbh.

So there's 4 defenders you are going to at the very least, need back up for them.

To be honest mate, Anita is ****e in midfield. He was a revelation at right back and I can see why he played at full back quite a bit at Ajax. By all accounts Rafa is keen to utilise Sterry and Mbabu from the younger players as back up full backs and centre back respectively. We simply must sign a left back as Dummett is a centre half playing out of position. Even then he is only 4th choice. Haidara is absolutely useless. We then need an experienced centre half. I'm reasonably confident we'll get the two we need though if not more. Rafa seems to have taken complete control for the first time in 10 years.

I'm happy with this signing. A hard working grafter with a bit of quality and an eye for goal. This is a good signing for us in the championship and for the premiership.

Very surprised and a cracking buy. A few more of these types and we will be pretty much certain to be in the promotion discussion come May.

Ideal replacement for Andros. Will attack, aint affraid to shoot takes a good free kick.

I live in Bournemouth and last month would have doubted an offer being accepted Ritchie, he is a big part of the team that came up and played last season. But this summer Bournemouth let Elphick leave for Villa which again is a strange one for me as he too was a big part of the team last year.

Im not sure what is going on I know Ritchie is 26 so this will probably be his last big contract maybe he's willing to risk 1 season in the championship (which he bossed a couple of years ago) to potentially double his wages - purely speculation no idea what he is on or what we would offer him!

He knows the league isnt french and is a decent player for me all positives.

Yeah mate, I think he is. British player, he has quality, he's got experience of playing in and getting out of the championship and he isn't a big time charlie.

    Ticks all the boxes <ok>

I had him in my dream team at the start of last season. He got any number of assists in the championship and scored quite a few, as well. You'll get some belta goals out of him. Similar to Townsend, in that sense.

Oh, totally off-topic, but last night I was sitting thinking about my Granda and what he used to say to me... All the black people were the fastest runners because they have something in their blood <laugh>

All competitive sprinters are black. More than that, they are virtually all descendants of slaves. Political correctness apart, it would be surprising if there wasn't a genetic aspect.
