Vertonghen out of Euros with ankle ligament injury

I think there is a growing number of Spurs who think the colossus Kevin Wimmer might be the better defender. However, it may necessitate a spend on another centre half when we really need to be spending our pennies elsewhere. With Dembele out for the first 4 games and Vertonghen missing for a similar period, we will be a bit thin on experienced cover.

Maybe Dom Ball or CCV will get the chance in pre-season to lay a claim to a meaningful squad place? I hope so.

Anyone agrees with Lee Dixon that Slaven Bilic is the man to replace Roy Hodgson? He wouldn't want to leave West Ham anyway!

Quite a different interview style - to be expected to criticise the organisation you are applying to for a job?

I like to take a risk in job interviews. When I get the "what do you know about our company?" question I answer "well your range is ****, that's why you need a buyer like me to sort it out" :D

Apparently Vertonghen is 4-6 weeks only.

Portugal have played 5, won 0 in 90 minutes and are now in the semis<confused>
I'm much more kindly disposed towards Portugal than I was. With all these games starting at 3 my time, I face the difficult choice of watching the second half when I get home from work or taking a nap. With Portugal, I got to do both. Within a few minutes of turning on the Poland game, I was out like a light. It would have been even faster had I not been distracted by the comparatively thrilling spectacle of grass growing. I was up just in time for pens. While disappointed that Portugal won, I look forward to another profoundly relaxing experience in the semifinals.

I keep asking myself what particular plans Nemesis has for Portugal and CR7 in Euro 2016.
Something akin to the Brasil-Germany WC SF game ??
