Fox news is about as true as north Korean state media. Pile of ****ty journalism.

Farage is a ****. Simply embarrassing watching him insult the MEPS in Brussels.

No, you will have a nice new shiny choice to pick from when they sort themselves out..

Not that you were born when Thatcher was prime minister, you'll have to rely on your brainwashing to make your mind up on that!

Lets say you started a job and in your 1st day you announce you will do something special and no one believed you and they all thought you were mad. Every day for 17 years you get mocked by the other people who work there. You get jeers, you get insults, you get laughter in your face. You warn them time and time again that what they are doing is wrong but they just carry on belittling you. Then in that 17th year, you do exactly what they all thought you couldnt do. How would you act on your 1st day back to work knowing you wont ever have to go back to see these people again? Me, I would say... "in your face" while flipping them all the bird and then break into song singing "who are ya, who are ya". How would you act? Dont give me crap and say you would just remain professional. 17 years of mocking and you never have to see them again, of course you will rub it in. I say bravo to him and Banksy will confirm that im not Farage's biggest fan. But he has certainly gone up in my book after that.

Are you saying because it was Fox news, what Farage is saying is not true?

No I am saying that Farage is a man who has spent his career spreading hatred and dividing people.

I am also saying that fox news is the most biased, morally wrong, outdated and factually incorrect news source in the western world.

He is a smug little nasty piece of work. In 17 years he has divided people and spread racial hatred. He is a man of little morals, has lied senseless during the referendum campaign and his campaign posters where shocking and some of them borderline racism.

I may be only 18 but even I know that you need to show respect for colleagues and not be as unpleasant towards them as he has done.

Can we start again MTG? Respect and discuss with each other?

What did he lie about during the referendum?

The poster wasn't great was it. But I think his point was all those refugees going to the EU from Seria could end up in the UK in years to come. I can't remember the figure branded about with how many people is in Europe who can just turn up in the UK (500 million is it?) well that number can go up massively by those pouring into Europe. I think that was his point but was a great point to make. Just wanted needed and was scaremongering at its worse.

    OK to the first point.

    For the lies,
The biggest one was the campaign bus poster lying about putting £350 million pounds a week into the nhs.

I think the poster of breaking point was very disrespectful to people fleeing atrocities. There is a need for us all globally to accept a fair share of refugees so that they can rebuild their lives.

    Great <hug>

The bus poster about the £350 million was not Farage. That was Gove and Boris. Farage's campaign was not the same campaign as Gove and Boris.
So what lies did Farage make then? <ok>

I agree fully with the last paragraph regarding the poster tht Farage was involved in <ok>

I understood that the £350M referred to our gross contribution towards the EU which was the UK contribution share decided by the politics within the EU. In other words a sum which was set not entirely within our control. I don't recall anyone expecting us to believe that it was the net figure after our negotiated rebate and refunded monies for projects etc. which were allocated by EU politics. A large part of the gross sum figure never left the BOE.

    Total payments - €117.5bn
In 2007, five countries - Germany, France, Italy, the UK, and Spain - contributed nearly half of the budget.

In fact, Germany alone - Europe's largest economy - paid more than the 19 lowest-paying member states combined.

Each country's payment is divided into three parts: a fixed percentage of gross national income (GNI), customs duties collected on behalf of the EU (known as "traditional own resources") and a percentage of VAT income.

The GNI-based contribution is the largest part of each country's payment and is set each year by the EU to balance the budget.

There is one other important part of the revenue calculations: the UK rebate, which returns to the UK two-thirds of its payments.

This rebate is paid for by the other 26 countries as a fixed amount of their gross national income.

Wiz. That chart sort of confirms Nick Clegg's figure for a daily rate of about 30pence per day per person. His calculation was based on 2015 figures where the numbers had changed slightly.

Unfortunately Sapph, some did think the £350 Million was the net figure, even though they were all being told its not the net figure but was the gross figure. Some showed they dont understand what net and gross means.
Some though who understood that was the gross figure, thought using the gross figure of £350 million was wrong and miss-leading and should have used the net figure instead. However, as you say, the £350 million was out of our control. We had to have £350 million available for the EU each week. We had to give that money to the EU. The EU then told us exactly where to spend that the money we get back from the them, out of the £350 million. So none of that £350 million is in our control.

They have been told so many times but they dont seem to grasp this simple logic.

The £350 million to the EU was NOT a lie.

Some also believe the message on the bus is a lie saying £350 million could go to the NHS instead because Gove, Boris and Farage all said about £100 million will actually go to the NHS, not the full £350 million. They clearly have miss-understood the message on the bus.

Below is the message on the bus... Where does it say that the full £350 million will go to the NHS? To me it tells the truth that £350 million goes toe the EU each week. Then there is the key message. We can instead fund the NHS from that money. No where does it say that it ALL will go to the NHS.

So where is the lie on the bus???

    What has he said?

Here is a TV debate with Michael Gove before the referendum.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07gsgrw/question-time-eu-special-the-case-for-leave

    Gove said from...

From 1 min 55 secs - "We can take back some of that money that goes to the EU and we can invest it on our own priorites."

From 5 mins 12 secs - Same as above

From 6 mins 20 secs - "We can give the NHS an additional £100 million every week."

Thats just 3 times in the 1st 6 minutes of that 45 minute question time. He goes on to say the above many more times and in every other TV debate / interview that he has been onvolved in <ok>

So what lies has he said?

Well I think it is fairly widely shown in an interview where he said he would not be interested in running for PM.

Secondly. Did he not say that he would support BoJo's bid for the top job? Then stabbed him in the back!
