I must say I am very interested in how Puel turns out. I know some people have their doubts that this is a cheap option, but I don't believe that from our board anymore. He may not be the most expensive option we had, or even the biggest name we were linked with, but for whatever reasons, the other options were discarded and Puel was chosen. My doubts come from having never heard of him, but they are levelled out by me having never heard of Poch when he arrived, so I feel the board has earned a bit of trust. I understand people may feel that he is not a big enough name to attract top players, but I would counter that whilst I, a general football fan, hasn't heard of him, I would be surprised if professional players were unaware of him. All in all, I wouldn't say I am sceptical or disappointed with the appointment, I would say that I am looking hopefully forward to once again being pleasantly surprised by another left field managerial candidate. The board haven't made a managerial mistake yet, so who am I to think they have made one this time. Good luck Claude...I hope we can look forward to some exciting football at St Mary's next season!

I am kinda with you on this Tom but I will admit to not having a great knowledge of European football and the board have a far better insight than me. Like all managers he will ultimately be judged on results. I am getting more excited the more I hear about him. Do you think we are likely to sign many French players?
