Seeing as it looks like Gayle's going though, I strongly hope this one does too, far more interested in Richie than Gayle.
Richie's more of an out and out winger though isn't he? Lee started out as an attacking midfielder before becoming a defending midfielder. Looks like he's got goals in him though, which is good, Rob Lee got plenty of vital goals in the 92/93 promotion season. Still yet to be convinced that we can talk him into dropping down a league though.
rob lee started on the wing m8 for charlton and for us when he first came .. i know he went to center later like your saying ... i think mind lol
Ahhh, the good old days of 4-4-2, wingers, strikers, goals. If I was England manager that's all I'd ever do. As kids, English people play it all the time - it'd bring even the highest paid player back to his less-pressured youth. I'd also completely avoid players who are clearly carried by the foreign stars they play with. Cahill, Sterling, Wilshere, no thanks. I'd never pick a single player, no matter how allegedly good, who didn't play in that way and ensure i had 2 XI's to choose from. Sorry, not sure where that came from.
Certainly did and was a great crosser of a ball - ask Ned Kelly. Sellars whipped a half decent ball in too mind. Took great free kicks in the rain too
Rob Lee always liked to "roam" a bit in his first few season - winger, attacking mid, striker....he even mentions in the 92/93 promotion vid that he sae himself in a fluid mobile role. Anyway, looks like the Richie deal is gathering pace, if Townsend goes then this is a very decent replacement.
Very good signing, always liked him at Bournemouth and would probably have said he was their best player. Though on the negative sign I would rather have Townsend. Think Gayle could be a good signing as well.
Is this deal realistic? I mean, is he going to drop down a division? And why would Bournemouth sell? He has two years left on his contract I believe so they aren't under pressure to cash in.
Bournemouth will probably sell him, tbh. He's a very decent player, but he wasn't always starting for them last season and got substituted off quite a few times. I'd imagine he would probably be a substitute more often than not, this coming season, so I can definitely see this deal happening.
British spine, more than one decent player in a given position... this is shaping up to be a really entertaining season! We need defenders though, urgently!
This! Your defence should be addressed first and foremost, it's been your achilles heel for a long time now and again you seem to be getting linked to only midfielders with one or two forwards thrown in for good measure. Build from the back
Really? Laecelles, Mbemba, Dummett, Mbabu, Anita, Hiadara, and atm Janmaat and Colo still there..only the odd addition needed really. Goal scoring midfielder is priority I'm.
