oh and only 3 freys got done by arya yeah? all that rag tag bunch will still have rivr run etc... so that'll occupy starks.
what you have to think is how do they top the battle of the bastards? they have to do this so the classic way is go bigger... ever bigger so to do that you have arrayed a vast denerys army but the only way to stand up to that is a big westeros army. going to be epic..... think the battle of the Pelennor Fields in LOTR... who had 7 lads up on flying dragons.... sort of... yeah.. he didn't win did he? you can have 2 series left and then have 3 dragons in in 2 shows.... no someone is going to kill a dragon somewhere here...
Daenerys would be silly to attack Kings Landing just be sea. She has the numbers, and the means to do a three pronged attack. Dothraki, Martell and Tyrells attack by land, Greyjoys and Unsullied attack by sea, Dragons attack from the air. Ground forces go in first (Tyrells would have siege weapons), this would draw out their defence to the battlements, send in the dragons to fry the ****ers, then in the confusion your naval forces steam in from the rear, splitting their defence. (yes I have played too much Medieval : Total War ) The Frey dad and his two eldest were killed, including Walder Frey's acknowledged heir, Lothar, but he has a gazillion other children, literally like 40 or so. Can't see that inheritance going smoothly at all, most likely civil war in the Frey camp as they argue over the estate.
See the producers mucked up by posting a family tree/wheel that confirms what we all knew about Robs Dad...
Rob's dad? You mean Jon's dad? The last episode showed us the truth of Jon's lineage? How did they muck up?
no but blackwater bay is there and who knows. don't you want an epic even bigger massive battle scene or do you want it to be just walk all over? anyway they'll just send out the lad in white with the long beard on a white horse to shine a light at the dragons.. job done. Alos... dragons.. all kille doff... someone will have a dragon killing tehcnique... dem dragons gonna be killed somewhere along the way why are you throwing up every excuse ... are you in love with blondie like the rest of them?
please log in to view this image if anyone can actually figure that muck out. lyanna was married/engaged to robert. Theres a line to john snow as paert but theres another line to rickard stark too. shes the only one with a dotted line to rhaaegar stark but theres a paernt line for rhaegar to jon.. and neddy is market guardian. in short the chart is a bit of a mess. rikard stark is semeingly got 3 parent or something...
Yes I want a big epic battle scene! I just don't see, narratively, how Cersei could possibly mount any form of defence with just the Lannister army, and thats if Jaime and her are on good terms, which it didn't seem like. Aegon the Conqueror kicked the **** out of Westeros with a far smaller army that Dany's (albeit with 3 dragons also), and that was when the Seven Kingdoms were at full strength. The North won't help the Lannister's and have the WW invasion to worry about The Riverlands MAY help, but again, they are depleted from the 5 Kings War and have lost the head of their house and his two eldest heirs. The Greyjoys are with Daenerys The Martells are with Daenerys The Tyrells are with Daenerys That leaves the Lannisters on their lonesome......no chance. The Stormlands though....the Seat of House Baratheon.....heard nothing of them. Robert, Renly and Stannis are all dead, so is Shireen! Are there any other Baratheon's left? Gendry maybe, as Robert' son, he would have a claim if there are no legitimate male Baratheon heirs knocking about.
I agree with Bod I think it's all heading towards Dragon bird on the throne and Jon King of the North, then Whitewalkers pop along to spoil the happy ending.
Well, thinking about it, Littlefinger could decide to switch back on to the Lannister's side, since his hopes of getting Sansa installed as Queen of the North went to **** when she refused to go along with it and the Northern Lords backed Jon. maybe the Vale could join Cersei, but like Tywin, Littlefinger has never been one to pick the losing side, once he hears of Daenerys bearing down on Westeros with all that manpower and 3 dragons, he will probably try to get into her good graces (Thank god Tyrion is there to advise Daenerys on how much of a slippery, untrustworthy **** he is). And Euron could build his fleet and, since Daenerys took up Yara's offer, could demand Cersei marry him for an alliance. Cersei and Euron.....maybe?
Well it didn't muck up though, did it? We were shown that Jon is Rhaegar and Lyanna's son in the last episode. One thing I am curious about though, is that she said "His name is [inaudible] Robert will kill him if he finds out, you know he will" The inaudible bit I am convinced she said "His name is Whatever Targaryen" looked like Aeron to me if I am lip reading. This is bascially the next twist, Rhaegar and Lyanna were married, since Targaryens practiced Polygamy. This would mean that Jon is not a bastard, but an actual, legitimate Targaryen, with an even better claim to the Iron Throne that Daenerys. I am convinced that will be it. They didn't definitely state he was Rhaegars, but they did in a way, there is no other reason Robert would want him dead unless he was a Targaryen, and Lyanna was locked up in that Tower for a year with Rhaegar, Oswell Whent and Arthur Dayne as her only male company, so unless it was one of the two Kings guards Ned killed outside, its Rhaegars.....and like I said, unless he was a Targaryen there is no reason for Ned to hide him. (This would also explain why Ned was vehemently against Robert hunting down and killing Daenerys in Season 1). That would also explain why the Kings Guard were there guarding Lyanna, and not with Rhaegar, this confused even Ned, when he queried why they were not at the Trident. The only reason would be to protect a legitimate heir to the Iron Throne....Jon. If he is a bastard, he is not in the running, hence no Kingsguard.
Seems my previous post about whispering.. Was there not flash back scenes in the books around the Targareyn's that suggested this all more clearly...I can't remember the specifics as it's been ages since I read them but there's something in my head.... Edit: stupid autosave
Use the fecking colour code @moreinjuredthanowen My fave theory for the end of GoT is the one that pits Jon against Dany because Dany is really the evil totalitarian one, not the liberator, she wants total control of everything everywhere, look at what she let happen to metalhead Viserys, alright he was a shifty **** but still her brother. She doesn't care about blood relatives so Jon being like her nephew, cousin whatever will mean nothing to her. So. Jon would gain control of the others somehow - as we're still not sure of their ultimate role or motivation, they may turn out to want something positive for the world - and be able to command their whole dead army and that lot with the northern allies and would go against Dany's massive army in an epichugefinalebattle #swerve
Lads will turn up for all over... we've no idea how much there is of say frey army and the assumption that over the close season they won't be sorted out... or sam's dad.. he might have another glut of troops... and so forth and so on. I agree the north will stay north. they simply have ****e all force until the numbers thats just declared scrape up I think 100% the freys forces will align with lannisters.. why? they were patying. alls good they need help holding what they got. The greyjoys are a small element of the iron islands... the salt king will throw in with lannisters i think.. they might sink half the bloody fleet before it gets to westeros for all we know. House baratheon is a question... 1 no heir at all. wiped out at blackwater in ships. wiped out by 50% of what was left by boltons. the rest wandered off some place. gendry is not an heir he;s at best a bastard and who would know him.... he's annoyingly absent so can't turn up. The tully army vanished.. where will they turn up? I think there will be a much better seige scene... blackwater bay was a vehicle for wild fire, making jeffy boy look a coward and scarring tyrion but it wasn't a great battle... I think they can do this much bigger. I want season 7 to be epic.. I would take 3/4 of the 7 shows be her sailing along sun tanning while the rest falls into place. huge battle as she arrives. Arya to kill cercei at end
