The Observer yesterday had us as one of the teams to watch (mind you they seem to have included half the division so they're hedging their bets) "Hull finished strongly last season and with Nigel Pearson making some decent purchases they should push on
Good to see an outside source predicting that we'll have a good season! I don't see any reason given the players we've signed and the evidence from pre season why can't aim for 5th place.
Anthony Gardner and George Boetang ? can hear Forets fans signing ""Wally wiv the Brolly"" your aving a larffffff. Hope they both play against the Tigers. UTT
For what its worth I too think this will be a hell of a league this year, while Leicester and West Ham will undoubtedly be firm favourites to fill the top two positions, I honestly believe there will be shocks all the way, I have sneaky feeling that both Southampton and Brighton will raise eyebrows in this division and neither will be far off come the end, add to that Ipswich who have made some very shrewd signings, together with the usual suspects its gonna be close, real close. I believe that if we stay away from major injuries to our main players, and Cam comes back fit an firing I don`t think we will be that far away again. What it does promise is to be is one of the best and most competative leagues for many years, whoever goes up out of this division will throuoghly deserve it this year without a shadow of doubt, Bring it on C`mon
5th would be great! It's a new team almost this year, and if we get in the playoffs we will have made good progress. I believe we are better than 1/2 the teams in this league......for the rest I don't know as it's very competitive this year;as usual we will only know our real prospects by end Dec. Will never forget the feeling through that promotion year when I felt it was our year and we were taking teams apart. Would love to get that feeling again! Just remember though these soocernet people did the article about Brownie should succeed SAF at Manu; even I thought that was a wind up
