It's about time Forster was brought in for Hart. Hart's been ****e, especially for England, for years now and he is looked quite the plum with his overly pumped up nonsense before every game in the tournament.

Agree with this. Forster is a beast and commands his goal much better than Hart anyway.

Roy Hodgson built his team around a bunch of players that had comprehensively choked their best chance in 50 years.

At an average age of 22 I am not sure how it it was there best chance for 50 years! But its fine as other people have said you get yourself a spine of good young English players and lets see them do better

Kane works best in a team that stretches the play, he looked lost in that formation. Another example of Roy trying to fit the wrong player into the team.

Sorry, but last season was Trotterhams best chance in 50+ years of being league champions, and they collapsed. their mental state and confidence were probably at an all time low, so Hodgson put them all inthe first team, along with Hart and Sturridge who played in a team that collapsed 2 months before that. Leicester and Southampton players, and Rashford, were the opposite.
I'm not blaming the Trotters, I'm blaming the plonker who refused to see the writing that was on the wall during the group games. Hart made howlers everywhere, Walker was beaten almost everytime someone came down the wing, Kane couldn't hit a barn door and I dunno what Stirling was told to do with the ball, but running forwards at pace, which is his game, wasn't one of them.
Quite franklly it was one of the worst managerial performances I've seen.

shame on you for relying on a group of old Spurs players who are well into their 70's. Got what you deserved.

Dembele, Vertognen, Alderwerleid, that Welsh lad Davies and Hugo Lioris just told me to tell you to **** off and to use your arse for the right reason.

Have to disagree there my dear piskie. Whilst I would probably go for Forster over Hart in current form and Forster is a great shot stopper, no way does he command his box better than Hart. For someone whos so big i actually think he's pretty poor commanding his box!

    Well **** you then ! <grr>

In all seriousness I think Hart is still a quality keeper, but he seems to be prone to some calamitous basic errors, as we saw at the Euros.

How do you rate Butland against both Hart and Forster ?

Hart....I agree with him that Hart seems to get over hyper and then starts making the sort of silly mistakes we've just seen..

Agreed, i actually think Hart could be brilliant. He's not bad in the air and hes got the ability to make World Class stops but he has a bit of the Heurelho Gomes about him (not as bad obviously).

Forster i think is a good shot stopper and a steady eddy. He's probably as consistent as Schwarzer who barely made mistakes and you know you can trust him. He can pull off worldies but not as frequently as hart. I don't think he'll ever be WC but you dont need a WC keeper to have a great team and be winners

Butland of the 3 is probably the best shot stopper and would probably be my number 1 based on current seasons form. It's hard to pick between the 3 as none of them are outstanding in controlling the area and its very rare to have that standout keeper nowadays as on their day, they can all be standout keepers but all fluctuate in form. Only Neuer, De Gea and Buffon have been world class of recent years and even Courtois who was looking good has lost form at chelski. Same to for Petr Cech who is still awesome but has been struggling to maintain what he was before he got injured by Hunt

Whilst it is clear that Kane was far from his best at this tournament (I like to be understated) anyone suggesting Vardy was any better clearly wasn't watching.

A few stats to back this up; Kane played 240 mins, Vardy 165 mins in this time Kane had 11 attempts on goal (not great) then again Vardy had 5, they got about same % on target, Kane attempted 52 passes and completed 37, Vardy 26 completed 18. And yes I know that Vardy scored a goal, but he got lucky 99/100 he would have been offside the fact it came off a welsh head and not an english one is hardly a matter of great skill.

...Vardy also played a key part in Sturidge's goal ...so a goal and a key contribution...and how many balls did Kane chase down and win back possession... you are clearly biased ...Vardy did best of our forwards ...although I also am biased...

I watched all the games and Vardy and Kane were equally inept, the assist was Alli's not Vardys, Rashford was the best of our forwards, Sturridge was frustrating and played for himself.

I don't Recall Vardy winning back possession at all but I will check the stats again as I am always happy to be proved wrong, but happier still to be proved right

Give it up! It's done! The whole ****ing lot of them were useless - I'll make an exception for Dier - and no, that's not because I'm a Spurs fan!

A collection of knackered, unfit and out of form players all being moved around like toy soldiers by 'General Roy Kitchener' !....
