    Without going into it:

Many films are Euro backed as are orchestras, art exhibitions etc.

There have been a lot of one-liners on here this week will you say the same to my ignored member???

I am seriously concerned so not about making cheap claims...

Well, no it's not true is it? Many of them just pathetic generalisations - how is what car you drive or where your shirt is made cultural?
I totally agree that this country has in the past been enhanced by the influences and cultures from other countries - but would you compare Pizza to Canaletto who produce some of his finest work whilst living in London?
But equally Britain has contributed massively not only culturally to Europe and the rest of the world, but has also brought government, judiciary, transport, peace - did you know that The Bayeux Tapestry was actually made in Canterbury?

    Decent Pizza..... ;)

Generalizations are what they are... culture is perceived and subjective of course...... I wouldn't' call it pathetic though as they are views some of us hold... and we have to move on from this divisive politics which has split the country

As for you last point yes of course... and I didn't know about the Bayeux.....

    Actually....

I think you'll find that fish n' chips were the brainchild of Joseph Malin, a Jewish immigrant, around 1860.

The Northerner's staple diet of fish & chips is certainly better than the Scots munching fried mars bars.

No comment on here about Comrade Corbyn failing a vote of confidence by the PLP. I wonder what his response will be?

Are you saying that Labour MPs actually voted and didn't do their normal abstaining trick?

    What's the world coming to??

Well the remain posters on here have been trying to heighten the importance of the MP's views over the proletariat, so he needs to walk.

You cannot have it both ways.

Apparently the vote has no legal basis, Comrade can simply ignore it if he so wishes.

Cologne needs to stop talking to his tomatoes and offer comrade Corbyn some advice. He is looking very ragged at the moment, even his deputy has called for his resignation.

My tomatoes grow better when you talk with them, my cabbages too. We have a country at war with itself - generation against generation, country against country, city against countryside. The Tories are at war with themselves, the Brexiters are divided (Farage must be furious at having his baby taken away by an opportunist like Johnson), and now the Labour party are also at war with themselves (are you happy now ?). We do not know if Corbyn or Cameron were real remainers, or if Bojo is a real Brexiter - what we do know is that everyone is jostling for position, and if we were in the time of the Borgia's they would be sticking daggers in each others backs in Westminster - are you happy with this ?

Many on this forum did advise you that Corbyn would be devisive and questioned his limited ability. Ed Miliband is entirely to blame for devising a leadership election system which could be hijacked by a far left group which did not reflect the views of the elected representatives or the average Labour voter.
By him staying in power it only benefits the Tory Party. If he is re-elected the damage will run deeper and may end in a permanent split of the Labour Party.

By contrast the Tories will unite behind the new leader, it is nice to be able to have a Tory government for a long time but the country needs a decent opposition. If Corbyn stays he will be unable to fulfil the posts in the shadow cabinet.
