At last, the reveal about Jon :) Good episode, but Baelish must have lent his teleporter to a few of the other characters, they've been zipping about all over the world

We got the reveal that Jon is Lyanna's and not Neds, but I don't think it's been hinted as to who his father is now in the TV show. I know, but I think that's because I'm reading the books and have heard fan theories. Anyone that has purely watched the TV show, do you think you know?

I also don't mind the teleporting issues because it's necessary to move the show along! There does seem to have been more teleporting this series than previously, but I guess they've got a deadline to stick to with series and episodes.

That was awesome. Cersei has gone full mad Queen. She's got nothing to live for now that all her children are dead, except maybe Jaime, and Jamie looked pissed. He did kill the last Monarch that went mad and threatened to burn the city with wildfire...

I haven't read the books but I know the Jon theory. In the show I'm sure they have made it clear that L was kidnapped by R, so I'm fairly certain.

I know but this season seems to have rushed around all over the place, we no longer get to see people on their journeys like we did in the first few series'. Also considering some storylines have been dragged out over 2/3 series - Danaerys in Mereen/Arya training. So it has moved the story on, but Varys went to Dorne to say 3 words, and then teleported back on the ship with Danaerys at the end! I think they have got timings wrong this series.

I agree, they have rushed the journeys far more this series. Probably mulitple reasons. For the first time the directors don't have a chunky book of source material, they just know the basics of what happens to each character. They also presumably now know exactly how many episodes they have left, whereas in the first few series they didn't know how long they would get funding for, if it would be popular enough to span the entire story. In the books, each chapter is from the point of view from a different Charcter and so time in context to other charcters and their movements isn't always obvious. I do think they've got a lot more wrong this series, including the time and teleporting aspect, but it's still been excellent for the most part.

Also, on the Varys teleportation. I think, though I could be wrong, that there were Dornish ships (with the sunspear on the sails) among the fleet. Which although that all happened all of a sudden, it at least shows how Varys got there.

I'm going to Belgium tomorrow for a music festival called Rock Werchter. Slightly concerned as there have been multiple terrorist attacks in Belgium in recent times. Can't let that stop you though. :emoticon-0159-music<ale>:emoticon-0178-rock:

Well my bad week is complete. Brexit, England out of the Euros, Saints players sold and now the worst of them all, no big jars of Marmite in Sainsburys. <wah>

If that's your idea of Quality TV then I'd hate to think what you're filling your brain with on a daily basis.? <laugh>

Somebody was going on about brain exercise earlier. Might I suggest a 5 minute segment of this. From a similar era:

Was watching the first Thomas Harris filmed novel [Red Dragon], Manhunter [1986] last night [jeez, it's grim, but a heck of a film] and it's got quite 1980's electronic based rock on it. Even has tracks by Shriekback on the soundtrack, and they are offshoots of XTC, probably my favourite band. But as the film unfolded and another track played I was reminded of a lot of released music that I've heard Fable write and sing. The keyboard sounds very very reminiscent.
