A mates just rang me to say "City have just rang me to ask if I'd be interested in a membership as I'd not had one for a few years" Looks like they aren't selling as good as they'd like us to think ......oh and he got his membership 2 weeks ago
To be fair, I don't think anyone's pretending the membership scheme sales are good. One of the reasons the ticketing has been switched to being automated, is to free up people in the ticket office to other duties, like selling over the phone. Expect more of this, if you go to a few games, then skip a few games, you're likely to get a call to ask why you've stopped going.
Thats farenough but the HDM article a few weeks ago implied they were getting giddy about nearly reaching 10 000 renewals of 12500 seanson ticket holders. Maybe they'd have a bit more time to do their duties if they were'nt ringing people who had already signed up
Just had the same phone call 15 mins ago. They'll have to price match tickets as low as they possibly can to get anywhere near having decent crowds.
The thing is they shouldn't have to do it, this is biggest PL season in history with the money and managers now in the PL pepp, jose etc.. We should have the overnight camping for memberships etc. Such a very sad state of affairs, and if it doesnt get sorted ASAP we are in danger of losing a generation of fans
To true - I was another contacted today & another politely declining - reasons = owners & membership scheme Spoke to an ex-colleague today who has also stopped going due price increase for children - will do away games ... It's the potential 'lost generation' that will be the saddest outcome - it's been great to see so many children wearing city kits in parks etc, & at games - at this rate all the positive change since 'project KC' started could be undone for a very long time ...

Various people saying they were offered membership for £9.99 a month on the condition they renewed today. Can't be true surely
