    Joachim Low?

I thought you meant Klopp... Him I'd take for sure, especially if it meant Liverpool losing their manager.

To be fair, his first job was for a decent team with high expectations, which was on a mini-decline, in a foreign country where he couldn't speak the language. Was madness taking it on imo, was never gonna work out.

I can absolutely see them giving the job to Southgate, he'd be a typically awful choice. All he'd do is look at a list of each player's value in the transfer market and pick the most expensive for each position which seems to be the standard way of doing things.

i couldn't give a flying **** who the next manager is so long as they are their own person and pick the team on who deserves to be in it on performances and not loyalty.
He has to have some idea about tic tacs and how to work and perform together as a team and not a bunch of overpaid prima donnas.
The FA need to appoint someone and let them get on with it and not interfere with the new managers ways in the slightest.

If the FA appoint Southgate, I reckon it'll be only a matter of time before fans turn their back on the national team.

He's an absolute nobody who has achieved nothing in this game.

I wonder if Fergie would be tempted, for one world cup campaign... two year deal, Gary Neville as his assistant.

I'm dreaming, obviously we will get another nobody.

It cannot be any of the grey, men who have been part of the last set up. It needs a new broom, new ideas, new tactics, new way of looking at the game and someone who can handle millionaires and getting them to show a little ticker.

If he hadn't just gone to Man U I'd have said Jose....but I cannot see the F.A. doing anything bold, they will pick a yes man....probably Mr grey Southgate, which hardly fills me with joy.

Thats what I was hinting at - a safe option.
Some calling for Wenger - he's only had success with a team of largely overseas players - not a viable choice
Pardew may be a long shot
but the stand out experienced English manager is BSA - wonder why he was overlooked when Hodgson was appointed -
    Let's hope he's overlooked again :emoticon-0148-yes:
