Hodgson has just described the England team as a "young, hungry, and extremely talented group of players". Only one of those is accurate. I know several of you have disagreed with me on this subject previously, but I believe that is the worst England team since 1993. A large number of those players are lauded as being great players or potentially great players but that is a gross overexaggeration of their abilities. Roy will take the flak for this exit for his poor tactical decisions and I think his squad selection was poor but to some extent I don't think we'd have progressed any further in the competition no matter who he'd picked.
