Firstly congratulations to Iceland, absolutely superb. England well, that bad I can't find a word to describe it. Roy has to go, and go now. I expect his resignation at the post match interview.
All over, well done Iceland a thoroughly professional performance. You can only beat what's in front of you, and tonight it looked like a bunch of blokes from the pub who had never played together before and had decided to do without a manager.
I feel sorry for Hodgson with all the crap that is going to come his way. The players badly left him, themselves and their country down.
The 0-1 was 18/1, I think the 1-2 was nearer 40/1. I could see the former, but didn't think they'd attack enough to score two.
Depressing, if ever we needed a bit of success to try and create some kind of national unity, even if only for a football tournament.
Fans and Players as one in celebration, fantastic sight........ITV are probably on an advert break so won't show it.......
Words fail me. Not at the result, we had no right to expect a victory, but a performance, maybe a shot on goal. Shameful stuff, out thought, out battled, devoid of options. Im going to go and pull a muscle in the gym.
With England and Spain out today, I'm starting to fancy Wales can go a long way. Absolutely shocked with that result.
So Gareth Bale was proved right, none of this lot would get into a pub team let alone the Wales team...
Iceland were a real team...tons of spirit, a plan and hard work. We were diabolical. The team let Hodgson down...but Hodgson didn't send them out with any sort of plan. All parts were missing..lack of a proper manager
It's been well publicised that Iceland has the same population as Coventry. I think Coventry would have beaten England tonight. Also Iceland has fewer registered football players than the state of Rhode Island in the US. Thank god we weren't up against them.
I have no words mate. They are not bad players and yet they completely froze. It's as if it was a self fulfilling prophecy. We always do this and it is down to terrible preparation from Hodgson and his so called coaches plus we are mentally disabled when it comes to tournament football. I'm off out to find some local cats to kick!
As I said earlier Beth, he was standing on the touchline rubbing his chin, clearly didn't have a clue
