    I'll take a guess.

He voted purely due to stability of the economy? That's seriously a guess, but he's said it about 346 times before you posted so I can't be far wrong.

That and the economy WILL fail and that we WILL go into a recession. And it won't happen overnight but it WILL happen in the next few months.

The market says so, it doesn't like uncertainty.

    #fact.

I'm just wumming the thread now, Can't be arsed with it all!

I'm trying to be positive about it all, I voted in but it is what it is, we'll see what happens when it happens. Far too many experts on politics all of a sudden!

NSIS lives in Spain anyway ffs <laugh>

All the more reason for him to be crapping himself. For many in the UK, bar the financial meltdown, that may well be the full extent of the difference felt by being out rather than in. For those living in Spain it could literally change their lives, so you can understand the concern. UK earned income could be double taxed, those just living on the margins may no longer afford to be able to live with the drop in the GBP and cannot afford to return to live in the UK. Spanish property will plummet in value (not that it can be sold as there are no buyers) plus free healthcare may be withdrawn and costly health insurance bought instead and to top it all off, they may no longer qualify for what will inevitably become residence visas and be kicked out penniless. It does affect real people in many ways.

    Yeah, it might.

Probably won't be anything like that though of course.

    But it might.

Some of that might happen. A lot of it probably won't.

I'd expect a zombie outbreak before the complete meltdown you're expecting. Have you built a hole in the ground and withdrawn all your cash yet?

I'd sell that villa sharpish, whilst you can still get euros for it. In a couple of years time they may just give you a goat and two turnips in exchange and you'll be grateful <ok>

Basically the hole in the ground is the better option!

Nope, my income is secure, I didn't have to pay for the land, my company owns the property and because my mother was born in the Republic of Ireland I have dual citizenship and an Irish passport - and so remain a citizen of Eeeeurup. It affects some people, but not me , thankfully

Dual citizenship? Yikes! Double taxation abounds for you, no matter what country you live in...

Which passport will you give up when the EU responds to Brexit by making it illegal for EU citizens to have dual British citizenship?

Any person can have dual citizenship through birthright without any issues whatsoever. Not so with dual nationality.

I might move to Jam Rock.

Buy a jet-ski bar and smoke Ganja with gullible tourists all day.

A friend of mine has just got a Headship in Malaysia, £55k a year on lower tax rates, house provided and so is transport. More than that, the place is ****ing gorgeous and there's a case for the lifestyle being better. Seriously bloody tempted to do the same tbh, the only thing stopping me is living without my wider family... parents etc.

Guarantee you would see more of your family if you made the move to KL. My kids are at Uni, now I live part of the year in Spain I see them more often than if we had stayed in boring, dull UK.

    How do you figure that?

Spain I can kind of understand. KL is other side of the world.

I would definitely do a spell abroad but there's no way she would consider it.

Her parents live round the corner (and they call in unannounced every ****ing single ****ing day of the ****ing week) and she teaches at a school five minutes up the road. Our life is bang on for her.
Don't get me wrong, I love where I live and am happy etc. but I wouldn't mind a stint (which would probably be forever) in New Zealand or Aus or something.

I think it would suit me and me it.

    Never happening though.
